Hey why don't you turn this off for a week or two after you destroy the game?

I keep getting this message even though I don't have any XVM mods installed.

Apparently you do. Maybe another mod that you have uses it.

Mods don't always get cleared out on a patch, you basically need to really check to be sure there isn't anything left over from old mods.  Also Wargamming didn't destroy the game the xvm mod pack did.

Only Aslains mods, which others are reporting having no issues with. I just one time would like to have a smooth transition from update to game play. But in all the years I have been playing I don't recall one instance where that happened!

And no, I like my mods and I want to keep them. I will quit the game if I have to play without them. Why do they not give the update to the mod developers BEFORE rolling it out so they can make it work right from the get go! Wouldn't that be a novel idea!

Mods are aftermarket and not intended to be used with the game.  Being aftermarket, there is no development of these mods between the mod creators and Wargaming. That is the problem.  Don't blame Wargaming for using mods that were never supposed to be used with the game in the first place.

I agree just because you whiners hat ethe mods doesn't make them morally wrong. YOu know the same argument you guys use to justify 5 skills over some guy with only 50% skill. That sort of thing.

My game keeps freezing usually within the first battle. It locks up my pc and I have to reboot using the power button. Just tried a fresh reinstall with no mods and it's still doing it. So for some of us it's 1.2 itself and NOT the mods. Hopefully a resolution is found because as of right now I basically can't play.

So if they were not intended by WG, why did WG add a folder into the game made for mods?

WG has Always supported and encouraged the use of mods.  They published that info many many times, and still support mod developers.

Anyone who says otherwise is in the same category as arty haters. Whining just to hear yourself whine.  And whining louder doesn't make you any more right.

That said, MOST issues related to game glitches and crashes are due to 2 things.  1: Mod Errors, or incompatibilities.  And 2: Driver conflicts.  (Check your video card drivers for updates)  Mod Makers like Aslain generally test their stuff pretty well, and it a glitch is detected, he has his own forums for reporting and they normally respond with a fix very quickly.  Personally, I keep a second, vanilla install of the game in a partition of my hard drive to verify or eliminate my mods as a problem.

Wg not allowing mods and not supporting mods are 2 different things. They allow them but dont support (i mean they dont program patches for them technical support? Brain isnt working rn)them

If a mod is causing issues that's not their fault, it isnt their program it's up to the modder to make it work with the game nor the other way around. I dont mod wot anymore  just cause these added most the mods I used to base game but I do mod other games so I know the crashing feels.

Also is it necessary to insult the guys who are giving you a straight answer.

Also you could play a match vanilla first then install your mods and watch the replay for bugs because your mods will load into that replay

If I'm not mistaken it's skins causing the crashes. WG changed the skin compression format without telling anyone. Without running any skins xvm works fine.

Well the kicker is I do not run skins, unless you are talking about hit zone, then yes. Just looked at the latest update and noticed the hit skin I used is gone, I hope that is the problem. But still can't the system detect a crash, especially if a report is sent right after?

I played a lot of battles to get a 5 skill crew.  How many battles does one have to play to download a mod?  ZERO!

That's serious cheating and you can banned for that, especially since you just admitted to it in a public forum.

Fair Play Policy Update: Summer 2018 – 1,029 low life cheaters banned! Yeah! W.o.T. has special scanning software that finds and bans cheaters! They are caught and banned! - https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/announcements/fair-play-policy-0718/

Merely uninstalling and reinstalling does not entirely remove the W.o.T. client from your computer.  There are further steps that need to be taken.  Send in a ticket to W.o.T. Customer Service, they will help you find the problem and correct it.
