UNDERWHELMED :-(

Agree with comments about it being boring after a few games.   One suggestion for adding some spice to it: reward a small amount of gold, say 25 or so, to every team member when the team turns returns 200 or more dark matter.  That should make better players think twice about risking a large load they're carrying (you know, the guys who die with 50+ on board), and maybe entice lousy players to contribute a bit more to the final tally.

This game mode is pathetic. Collect green matter? BORING. OP enemies that can one shot you? No way to upgrade the tank hull or anything about it as you go? Very little map control. Dark map looks disgusting on monitors with lower contrast ratios or black crush.

"Oh but you need to platoon up and work as a team"

- Most will not. And more often than not the teamwork makes people overconfident and they die with 50 green matter.

The rewards are insulting. No credits for playing a round? Just xp? You have to pay gold to conver it? Even dumber!

Wargaming is insulting their players with how much money they are hoping idiots spend on the game to make this event useful.`

Geez, I do want the free XP reward, BUT I CAN"T BEAR TO PLAY THIS ANYMORE!!!  I'd rather get a tooth extraction than mindlessly grind through another 4K weekly mission.

it started out fun , but its been 6 or so days now and I dread it :

even after so many days , players DONT play like TEAMS in most matches , in fact some players play like total [edited]that cost the team green stuff

too many players don't lay smart , they run around with only one HP left , up to 60 green  stuff , and KEEP engaging tanks ………………. and then die , losing all that green for the team ……..

the ever increasing points goals only further add to this problem because of the above .

I liked the MOD when it began , but because of the above , I am really dreading playing it . I don't see my self getting all the way to the end of it ……………...

This "fun mode" is not fun at all it feels so repetitive and plain, 3 or 5 matches then change to random battles.

I won't bother saying things that other people.have said already, intead I'll say what I'd liked to see on this mode

  • Defense/attack mode: defend the cap from the undead tanks or destroy certain objectives.
  • The possibility to buff your tank (better rof, alpha, or even evolve into a better tank).
  • More maps.
  • Objectives.
  • More tanks to play.
  • It'd be cool if at some point a boss spawned and if you manage to kill him you earn more green matter.

I like that WG tries to add some flavour for the events but honestly they really messed up with this one I feel like if I were a UPS delivery guy working on a russian tank :P It feels like a last moment game mode tbh

i'm out …………….

I made it to level 10 by grinding a level a day , but I already had a few matches today that barely got over 100 , and a few players that were not even trying to help . I cant play another 20-30 matches just to get to 11 , THEN ANOTHER 30-40 matches to get to 12 , THEN ANOTHER 40-50 matches to get to 13 .

if every player got 40 green per match , it would be one thing . but so many players are barely making 20 that its just taking for ever .

its a good mod for TEAMS , but the problem is that no one want to play like a team , and some people just want to be jerks .

i'm not sure what I lose by not going the last 3 levels , but I just don't hate my self enough to do another 90-120 games at 6 minutes a game ………………… 9+ hours of constant repetition and monotony ……………. I just cant do it .

Made me think about that TV show "Undercover Boss" ...  I'd love to watch highlights of the WG CEO grind for Level 13.

i don't think anyone at WG would last more than 3-4 levels playing with the random player teams we all have too .

sadly , I guess I don't get the camo since I cant bring my self to play the MOD another 9+ hours to finish the last 3 levels , and cant afford to gold my way too it ……………….

this has been a major let down …………….

and while I DO still wish I got the camo , I kinda wish it had been a leering jack'o lantern , that would look awesome on a KV-2...……………………..

I felt all kinds of lucky today, logged to find that I had just barely enough dark matter collection left to complete the 3rd weekly.  So far the event has helped my driving skills, and use of the auto-aim.  Not to mention all  the free xp has been like a bag of candy in my hands.

Now that I've said something about my improved driving skills. It's time to go out and flip myself on to my side again with another load of dark matter going back to base :(

Opps, sorry guys!!!

The game mode itself was fine, although a little boring. I stopped playing it after the second day, as the increased rewards were not worth the grind. I especially didn't like the exponential growth in the amount of Dark matter you were supposed to earn for each stage. It would be better to just keep it at 400 per stage, or alternatively, remove the daily cap and keep the exponential growth.

BORING. Afrer level 7-8 progres is too time consuming and in combination with boring gameplay it s a torture.  You can always buy last several levels and maybe that was the purpose of WG - people to spend some gold. It was not working with me however.

Zombie tank element was a good, the frantic gas collecting was not. You made it too grindy, especially with the ever escalating amounts required to advance.

It started out ok, but quickly became monotonous. I got to level 7 before I decided to quit and buy the rest of the boosters.

Last year's even was MUCH more fun. You really had to work as a team to defeat the Leviathan.

Suggestion: a PvP mode (choose a side: ghosts vs. ghouls, vampires vs. werewolves, vampires vs. vampire hunters, etc. you get the idea) with the same premise of collecting green matter when you destroy the opposing team's tanks. You get to choose from 3 types what to play: light, medium, or heavy and you respawn....But here's the kicker:  an occasional "boss tank" that comes up in battle and whichever team kills it gets extra green matter and maybe some additional goodies (camo, coin, low tier Premium tank, etc). What do ya think?

OMG. The more I think about it, the funner it sounds...

Way too grindy and repetitive. I had enough on the fifth day.

On the one hand, I could play it with my kids and it was good for that.  It was, however, WAY too grindy for what you get jack.  I did the first couple of weeklies and called it good enough.  If there had been more rewards, I would have done more, but I want to grind my lines and the boosts do you no good if you don’t play your normal tanks too.  Play time isn’t infinite.

I think that the event was a success.  I like the fact that it had daily and weekly missions and that if you got bored you could have bought your way to the end.  However, it was a tad too expensive to buy your out at 5000 gold but i guess it was kind of a deterant to guys snobbing the event.  what i also liked was that it fostered team play and developed focus firing and calling skills.

Thanks again wargaming and keep up the good work

The game mode was fun for awhile but got repetitive after a few days.

One awesome aspect of the battle mode was that it required players to work together to get a decent score, something you don't see often in random battle, especially since all the players received the same score. Even if one player only brought 10 goo and the rest collected 30 each, all players would get 130 points meaning players weren't fighting each other for goo. This also means that one player can take on the majority of the combat and another player work on collecting the goo, in this way you can get players helping each other without fear of getting a low score for only engaging in combat.

I didn't find the rewards very attractive, I only played enough to get the 15k free exp and that mostly because I had just bought a new tank and wanted to free exp my way through some of the modules. I would rather see equipment, a tank, camo, free skill crew members, gold, premium time,or more free exp, . almost anything other than the exp booster. The booster was a good idea but I would have had to spend way to much time doing the Dark Front missions to get to level 13 and by that time there wouldn't have been any time to use the bonus in random battles.
