Howdy Tankers,

I am really curious to know what folks experienced when they went to the Wargaming section of Twitchcon this past weekend.  I was travelling and couldn't go, but I sent someone close to me to pick up stuff on my behalf.  To be honest, I was a bit disappointed when they came back with one World of Tanks Card with just an INVITE Code on it (useless to me) and a T-Shirt from the 2015 NA League Finals for Wargaming.net in San Francisco.  I really try to make it a point to not disparage anything FREE to me, but none of that stuff is so hot since I didn't start playing WoT until 2017 and WG did away with the League. In contrast, when I watched the whatever it was in Germany this summer, WG gave away all kinds of equipment, cards, models, new shirts, gifts, codes, gold, etc.

If any "veterans" made the trek out to San Jose for Twitchcon, please share what you snagged from WG.  Inquiring minds would like to know.

Thank you.

PS - Back to back posts.  A first for me :)

I didn't get to the convention, just to the after party, the happy hour event. WG did a trivia contest where they gave away 3 t-shirts and another segment where WG gave away a few codes, to be emailed at a later date. My gf was told we would receive some swag, once the WG staff returned to Austin, but nothing to date.

We did receive free drinks, a choice of wine, beer, juice or soda, and appetizers at the event.

That's awesome.  I would definitely go just to hang out with WG folks.   Good times :great:

WG staff was fine, CabbageMechanic in particular. :great:

The Twitch streamers, on the other hand, need to learn the basics of personal hygiene... :sceptic:

Being a veteran of multiple years of Grateful Dead tour, at least the hippies on GD tour tried to bury their BO in patchouli oil. The Twitch streamers wear their BO like a badge of honor. Absolutely disgusting... :(

The overpowering BO kept me away from the area where WG held the trivia contest... <insert puking emoji here>

Sounds like good times alright and somewhat similar to the Battle Tour:San Diego stop they did a while back on the deck of the Midway.  Free food, drinks, tour of the carrier and they were demo-ing a feature now very "popular" in this game: the SPG stun feature. :teethhappy:

Now WM, did you stand in the back somewhere out of cable and cord range and lob olives and peanuts at the helpless streamers to make them rage in person?  Lol

Can we send the unwashed masses, known as Twitch streamers to you?

You'd think they wouldn't let them on a plane.
