I tried this tank with twitch package and at first didn't like it at all. After running it for 80 battles I think it's ok. However is it worth buying?

People I know who own it generally like it. If you are impatient and you like it buy it.  I think it will be part of a 30% off sale either black Friday or around Christmas, if you can wait.

It's a beast, way better than the tech tree, way slower too.

It makes evil amounts of silver, better gun handling than 50 100, clip reload is 2.25 vs 2.73 on 50100.  it's slow in comparison, mostly due to armor, that is somewhat effective... Good players know where to hit weak turret; however, aiming is required, giving you clipping advantage.

It's not as exciting as other french autoloaders, but it trains crews and makes credits.

Sure, if you like big slow French auto loaders. I find that I'm arty focused more in the Somua than the AMX M4 49. That clip reload gets really ridiculous when you're perma stunned and your loader is dead.

I had fun with the rental, made a lot of credits.  Given my skill level we can conclude it is not a high skill tank.

If you're 50/50 definitely don't buy it. Wait for Lorraine, Patriot or Skorpion G

It has a pretty fast reload for a 5 shot clip. Very mean tank.

It can just dump about 1500 damage but the best use is when you pick targets with around 500-800 HP.  If you are facing a tank with lets say 800 HP left you only have to hit 3/5 shots and can unload before a second shot is fired at you.

Hi Guys,

Thank you very much for your input. After giving it a second thought I decided to buy this tank as it has special game play. I just have to be patient and know when to take opportunity.

Played it with a 10 day rental, it makes good credits, but not very enjoyable to play in my opinion, i don't like being slow, let alone slow with a long reload cause it's an autoloader, i've never played the Lorraine 40t but i assume it's easier to work with since you're fast enough to get away while you're reloading, Somua SM on the other hand, doesn't have that luxury because it trades speed for armor, it can pull off a few bounces i guess but of course very rarely cause of current gold spam and usually bottom tier, but anyway to answer the question, i'm not going to buy it, if i had the money i'd get a Lorr or Progetto :)

Next tanks on the list for me are:

ELC EVEN 90, T-44-100, WZ-120-1G FT

Just want to wait till they will be on sale or I will get a coupon like with Somua SM. By the way, I forgot to mention, Somua SM only cost me 36.75 CAD as I had 30% discount coupon

And ofcourse my wet dream list to buy:

Pz.Kpfw. 38H 735 (f), SU-76I, leFH18B2

OMG, I NEED your Bonds, your Credits and your Free XP!!!  So jealous :amazed:

Well done, sir.

PS - I love my Somua.  I thought I loved my Lorraine but that extra shot of damage with same reload time is tasty :great:

I have one, I like it more than WoT does....       I Swore off Autoloaders after my First Test Server but the Swede Heavies beought me Back.....        I had the Lorraine 40T first, the 13/57 next and got the Somua shortly after......       These have been laying the Crew Foundations for all the French Tanks to come.....

Since then, I started the Light/Medium Line at the 12T, added the 13/75, and am at present about 8K from the BC 12T.....      I also have plans for the Heavies but Unfortunately, I can't Freebie thru to the AMX 50/100.....      The Somua is like a French Autoloading Tiger II , which I also have and was the Reason I wanted to get it in the First Place, I've done well in the Tiger II.....
