I earned my first mastery badge.

I just had an outstanding game in the KV-1.

It was a bad start to my WoT play this morning, and then I had this game.

Well played, it is always fascinating to watch a new player in action. you seem to have rather good situational awareness and a grasp of your tank's capability. My two points of constructive criticism would be that you really shouldn't bring a camouflage net on a HT,  and that you need to learn a little trigger discipline. The camouflage net can be dropped for any number of more useful pieces of equipment, try a gun rammer or tool box. You also took a fair number of unaimed shots that would have hit and killed the enemy tank if you had stopped to aim. for instance you would have hit the arty, killed the Leo on the first shot and taken one less shot to kill the Stuart. It was, despite my previous criticism, very well played. congrats on an epic win!

This. I know you may lack the credits and that could be why you have a camo net, but try to save for something more useful. Toolbox might not be bad since you can still move it around. Another thing you can do if you want to aim but don't want to stop is press r once. You will move very slowly which makes your aim circle almost fully aimed in.

Both very solid advice.  I'd listen to these 2 about that camo net.

Agreed, especially about Toolbox over Camo Net on a heavy.

OP , CONGRATS on the Mastery!

Here's the thing about trying to camo a heavy.

Heavies have inherently poor base camo. Hard to hide a moving steel barn with a big gun sticking out of it.

The camo net adds 10% to your tank's base camo.

As a heavy really has no substantial base camo to begin with you're basically providing an additional 10% of almost nothing.

The only reason I paint my heavies is because I like the way they look with camo on them, not because I have any misconceptions about concealing them.

The Toolbox on the other hand decreases repair time. A real benefit to a heavy tank.

Combine the Toolbox with a large repair kit and the repair skill on the crew and you will see your tracks practically slap back on.

You know I hadn't really noticed the small map until you said something.

I've had probems with some things resetting lately. Map is one of them, going from full screen back to windowed mode is another.

I've found the camo net to be useful not for the game shown, but with some soft cover, hull down when I'm -2. It's helped me stay alive longer than without.

The KV-1 has a little better than average camo rating and with camo skills trained I think it could be useful. My KV-1 with the net is 14% camo bonus.

On my T1 Heavy, the camo net is useless, because the base camo is half that of the KV-1.

I want repairs trained, but I've gotten good enough I don't get tracked very often anymore. On the Russian heavies I've been successfully going for view range improvements and gun handling skills first. I'm probably going for repairs for my second skill.

Yeah, I get excited and fire just a bit too early sometimes. There were several shots that would have penned probably if I had just slowed down a second. LOL

I should have aimed a bit lower on the Stewart on one of the shots.

In all fairness a lot of my matches are still stinkers, but I'm improving through map knowledge mostly.

Also I've learned if I get killed, to stay around, particularly since I tend to be near sneaky alleys  that the reds will use. I can't always see the reds, but I sure as hell can see trees and fencing etc get knocked down and hear them... :D I'll report to my team that the reds are trying to flank them and where, and that has helped my win rate go up as well.
