Was just in a battle with my super conq and had three kills.  At the end it said I was in 4th place on my team and yet I lost 30,000 in silver.  Is this normal for the top level and do u have to win the game to make silver?  And I know my score should have been better but is this normal.

I've never played above Tier VIII yet...

But, the answer appears to be a resounding YES.  I always read and hear folks talking about gaming lower tiers to make credits to play Tier X.

Yes, it is simply that "free to play" games like WoT have no subscription income and therefore need some "motivations" for players to seriously consider buying premium time and premium tanks and credit boosters, etc.

Making the tier 10 economy somewhat difficult for average and lesser players is one way to motivate more players to spend a few bucks and support the game.

Otherwise, those who resolutely refuse to spend on the game can choose to either get really good at tier ten play, or drop back to more profitable tiers sporadically to make some credits to finance their tier ten play.

While tier 9 and 10 does make less credits when compared to 8 and below (as it's designed as a credit sink) it all comes down to how many of your shots hits and does damage, so basically taking care to for the most part only taking shots that you're certain will go through and not using too much premium ammo.. tank repair cost and trying to survive the battle is another rabbit hole too

Did you win the battle?  if so then no it's not normal, if you lost then yes it is normal.

Also you need to do about your hp in damage on top of just getting kills to even break even at tier ten.  The economy is pretty bad unless you do fairly well on average at tier ten.

Pretty normal. Credits aren't just based on kills. I noticed that damaged received and damaged given play a factor as well. Take their HP away but protect your HP. Repairs at Tier 10 are expensive as is ammo cost. If you use premium rounds, that will kill your credits unless you still pay gold for them. Also, if you use credits per battle for consumables will tear into your credits. Alot of factors but pretty normal results for a loss. A win...not so sure.

cant buy premium rounds for gold anymore. ( unless you buy credits with gold, then buy the premium rounds with those credits)
