Ok, I know the trolls will come out on this one. I quit. I am by far not the best player, average, yes. However for the last 3 months I have been put on lopsided teams experience wise almost every single match. There maybe 2 or 3 players on my team with WN8's over 800, I'm currently at 963. The other team has 2-3 players with WN8's below 800, so this leads to mainly blowout matches. I know your stats are based on your performance but how can you perform when the match is over in 5 or less minutes. For the record, I'm a 55yr old disabled vet who used to enjoy this game very much. But I got to ask what is fun about losing all the time or being blown out in a few minutes of the match starting. I don't expect to win every match. I expect to lose some too. Very challenging games are fun win or lose when both teams have a couple of tanks left to decide the outcome. In the last 3 months. I have went from needing 80 wins to achieve a full 50% win rate to now over 300. So until Wargaming decides to try and balance the teams based on some experience like Wn8 I quit. To the others that continue to play, I wish you good luck.

Yeah the games hard to get use too, the only reason I'm still around is for clan activities. Best of luck in your future ventures!

Always wondered why people come to the forums to say their goodbyes.    You already said goodbye to your friends, and other people of consequence.

Tchau, and GLHF... this game is not for just every player after all.

First of all Thank You for your service. Yeah the game can become quiet frustrating for people with disabilities, as I am also disabled from a stroke and heart failure. I'm in quiet of a bad rut myself as of late. I have been playing well below what I am capable of. But like anything else this bad spell shall pass. I hate to see you quitting the game. Have you tried playing tanks that you enjoy only?

I have found that focusing on damage as opposed to wins is a lot better for your sanity and your winrate. When you focus on damage and actually do what you would describe as a reasonable amount of damage, your mindset improves dramatically and you start to play better. I've found that focusing on something you can't control over a 10 game period (or more) is extremely frustrating.

Even though the pubbies will disagree, give it a try. Try focusing on your average damage over a 5 game period for like 3 weeks or so. Your winrate will improve, and you'll appreciate the game more.

That's really too bad, Quigley, I hate to see good people leaving the game especially when they used to enjoy it. In addition to some of the great suggestions above, have you thought about just taking an extended break? Some time away from it can be refreshing. Perhaps starting a new tank line from scratch? Perhaps joining a clan? Half the fun I have is with the clan, platooning, strongholds or simply busting each others' chops on Discord while we play in our clan as we don't take ourselves or the game too seriously. In any case, good luck with whatever you do, Quigley!

Quigley, almost 27k battles is a pretty good run.

Find a good tank you like playing and forget about the stats. You are saying you are at 49 % ? You are right in the middle of the pack, a perfectly good spot to be.

If you are somewhere between 49 and 50%, you are above average.

:great:

And if you really leave, well, I hope you find another interesting game that you will like as much as this one. Good luck out there !

The guy gets a +1 from me because he is polite and takes time to say goodbye to the forum and the community, not only a couple he might know !

One of the things I like about the game is your garage will still be there unless you really quit and uninstall. So hopefully you will in reality just take a break and get refreshed. Losing all your tanks only to have second thoughts and than have to start all over is worse than "quitting". Hope you return. Best of luck in whatever you do if you don't return.

Good luck to you, sir.

I sincerely hope you find something that is more fun for you.

I tell folks a lot, "If you ain't having fun, aren't getting paid, laid or have to do it to survive, then don't do it!"  Some folks think I'm being snarky, but think about it.  There is truth to that statement and it is meant in all sincerity.  If it ain't fun and you don't have to do it, then why would you, right?

Hope you find what you're looking for in terms of entertainment and fun value.  If you seek a while and return, you know, to give it one more try, PM me and I will see if there is anything I can do to make your return a bit more enjoyable.

Until then, Good Luck and Farewell!

Often wonder that myself. Are they expecting sympathy? Hoping someone will talk you out of it? Based on the general nature of the forms, sorry, not likely. I personally have no feelings one way or the other.  I was just curious as to what your reasons were. Feed up with RNG, MM is out to get you, too many tomatoes, map spammers, gold spammers, arty hater, lopsided teams, etc.

I don't know, 26K+ games and three years seems like a lot of time and effort wasted to just walk away.

Don't blame you at all Quigley. Battles are so unbalanced now it is truly comical. Hence blowouts, lopsided, slaughterfests, what have you. In my opinion 3/5/7 MM is utterly garbage and has drove so many newer players from game. In tiers 4 through 8, when you click battle, you will be bottom tier about 8 to 9 times out of ten. Then you toss in the unicums and super unicums who have insane rates from only God knows how, it is no wonder that so many have simply quit the game. Of course we have gobs of premium russian tanks that we can buy, more coming every week it seems. Skill based MM would be awesome, but of course trolls and unicums don't want that because then they will have to battle players of equal skill, which then their rates will plummet. SBMM will never happen, because devs do not want fairness in battles. Imbalance is what makes them the big coinage. I used to really enjoy the game, but since 3/5/7, its just a great big meh. Lets talk maps. Game has 24 maps, I've seen the list. Why on Gods green earth do I only see the same 5 or so? That boggles my mind. Am I good at this game? Not in the slightest, but I used to be fairly good. At about 25k battles or so (when 3/5/7MM came out) my wn8 was about 630, but right now it has dropped to about 350. I know, I know......I suck and need to "git gud". Right. I used to spend $ on this game, but will never again until they enable SBMM, get rid of 3/5/7MM, let players play all the maps, do something about bots, do something about all those cheaters using illegal mods, etc, etc. I still play now and then, mostly tier 3, because that tier only sees up to tier 4. IMHO Wargaming slit their own throats by not listening to their player base and intentionally making battles unbalanced.  There are lots of fun games out there that I now spend $ on, and with pleasure. Who wants to constantly fight a better player in a far superior tank? I don't, and that is why this game is losing support. CH.

Well, the matchmaker isn't really a state-of-the-art method of random selection of players from a pool of win ratings or experience. Its designed from war gaming's point of view and has little to do with fair play. It's more akin to a gambling casino than a sports or other competitive organization with teams in a computer program that is written with scripts and code. It's cleverly disguised with alluring tapestries of beautiful mountain and desert and otherwise detailed landscapes called maps. These maps have attack and choke points, sniper bluffs and terrain strategically situated to offer defense and offence in virtual battle situations. New to moderately experienced gamers are mesmerized by the scenery but can't possibly be aware of all the mechanics of a game that for the most part can not be mastered. It's designed that way: WoT is a business for profits. They care what your opinion is as it pertains to a players excitement to engage in a deceptively difficult game. BUT no amount of complaints as to the amount of frustration players have changes anything. You have to lose, you must lose sometimes at an obscene rate of loses because everyone has to otherwise there cannot be games like this. Oh, there are bright spots - you win once in awhile but it has very much to do with odds than it does with skills, more to do with chance than it does with strategy because each player is only 1/15th of a solution on a team. There are ways to help your chances just like there are familiar numbers that come up more often than others in lotteries but the advantages are just slightly better. You'll still lose, perhaps in streaks that'll have you swear off the game. But players always seem to come back. It's psychologically designed that way. Get it? players are being manipulated, conned if you will, to keep coming back to a game most of us can only do about a 50% win rate in. That's the way I see it according to my own struggles with the game. Good luck.

THREE YEAR OLD POST, OmegaMkII.  Better get that BOLO turned around and heading in another direction.

Then again, there's no reason to expect someone such as you to figure out a time stamp.  I'm surprised you don't have someone typing for you.
