Let's see, after reading the well thought out, pithy, and intelligent post and articles from my fellow player base, I realize I owe you all an apology.   I am apparently everything wrong with the game.

The reasons are numerous:

  1. I actually like the game as designed
  2. I've been playing since beta, close to nine years now, and I thought for a moment that my experience in playing meant that I could correct an error that someone with a 0.0000004% better W/L rate than me had.    I'm sorry.  I should know my place.
  3. I use gold ammo at times.   I now know that's because I'm a hack, and a cheater, and someone with the dreaded status of 'no skill'.
  4. Though I have thousands of battles in lights, mediums, and heavies - of all the classic lines - I have committed perhaps the greatest sin of all: I play artillery occasionally
  5. Not only do I play artillery:  I like it.   Always have.   Start building the gallows.
  6. I have purchased premium tanks.  I realized early on that this foolish move would make me an underclass, "wallet warrior" and toss me in with the "Wargaming Apologists", but I went willingly.   I apologize.
  7. I once didn't agree 100% with what a Unicum said.  Silently of course.  I know my place and did not speak in his holy presence directly.
  8. I'm a father, and a husband, and hold a respectable job at a decent company.  This means I cannot be available when someone in another country thinks I should be online.  I have foolishly thought that actual responsibilities in the physical world meant that it took precedent over this one.  My mistake.
  9. I spent 21 years in the Armored Cavalry of the United States Army.  I've been the senior enlisted advisor at a battalion level.  I've trained hundred if not thousands of tanker the art of mounted armored warfare.  I erroneously thought that gave me some practical insight into the field.  I apologize for correcting what you read on Wikipedia.
  10. Lastly, I expected a level of behavior that the players of this community are incapable of.  My apologies.

I don't accept the apology until you change your ways.

Its all relative. Dealing with a wide spectrum player base everyone is at fault. There is some truth to to ignoring the background noise which is the vocal disgruntled players. If it was a perfect world everybody would be purple and never lose. Alas we live in a world where nothing is perfect and we are always striving to be better. Never give up for that is the losers mantra.

And portraying some of "those" folks.

Given point one...   ...play a "real" tank.  :sceptic:

Point two...  oh wait.  :D

OP glad you're having fun and well stated.

Have a plus one.

Dude, you sound like me minus the army part. I am also exceptionally good looking - it's a burden.

I play arty more than occasionally.

Why? Don't thank someone for something they volunteered to do, not exactly deserving.

Man what a troll thing to say to someone.  Don't tell people to whom and for what reason they can thank someone.

This is disgusting actually - that you would seek to undercut the respect paid to veterans.  You're THAT guy who thinks that everybody owes you everything and you owe nothing.  Someone "volunteers" to buy you a meal by picking up a check and I'm quite certain you lose all respect for the fool who volunteered to pay for your meal.  You would never say "thank you" to that idiot.  I pity your parents and anyone who has to come into contact with you for any reason whatsoever.

F you for being a [edited]. You deserved that AND volunteered for it. 54 battles - your opinion doesn't count here.

Meh. The only one I can really disagree with is the arty one, however, playing some arty can help you understand how to avoid it. And you can understand that its a bad mechanic but still enjoy playing it. Yeah I can play a couple games in it eveey so often but I get bored of it pretty quickly.

Gold ammo, anyone who says to not use it isnt worth the breath it takes you to even  tell them they're wrong.

Sometimes Unicums are wrong.

By saying you like the game "as designed" if you mean how the game actually works, spotting/camo mechanics etc etc etc, yeah sure. If you mean the current game meta, where giving everything 10000mm of armour and overbuffing everything is the norm, then, uhh... I mean you're well within your right to like it, but dont be surprise if it kills the game (which it is)

No one cares if you've bought prems. The only people that do arent worth listening to anyway.

8 and 9 literally dont matter. Thanks for your service, even though im not american.

As for 10. Yeah. People suck.

If you cant answer that with a respectful thought process then any lengthy explanation of why is a total waste of time.

Who cares what the forumites think? A literal handful of opinionated regulars compared to the hundreds of thousands who cycle through the battle queue each day. If you enjoy the game best to leave the forums alone as all that's here are the trolls and agenda seekers.
