Wow! caught wind of a conversion kit in existence for the experimental model of the ISU-152 (what we know as the obj. 704)
It is an Azimut Productions conversion kit for the tamiya 152 but it seems to be only a special order as everyone is out of stock :(

edit: looks like the imagehost deleted some of the pictures, only this example remains

I remember my first tank model lol it had so much glue on it you could toss it a the wall and it did not break  lol I made a Sherman,or the Lee first then the Stuart, and the king Tiger.
In the 80's I got into war gaming, and this was among  the last "model's I made a little gluing ,and pain in the but painting

^^ This please.  and maybe an area for those who like to draw stuff.

Here i my first really completed model, a PzII alongside a Kubelwagen.  I did a few as a young chap at home, they didnt turn out very well.  Now I to suscribe to FineScaleModeler.  This is the first tank I've done since that half completed Monogram M4 w/ calliope.

I started buying the "Flames of War" tank models so that I could have a collection of my favorite W.O.T. tanks.  ;)

I make a shadow box for them with a flat tan interior and Flat olive drab exterior.

LoL thanks.  Just the cheapest Tamiya model tank they had at the hobby store that day.  Now its all painted decaled and has a coat of pastel powder sanded off a set I found in my wife's art supply stache.

My birthday is coming up so I might be getting my hands on this soon. I'll probably finish it just in time for the British tanks (laugh)

Today I went down to take a look at a local hobby store I frequent and to my surprise I found a couple 1/35 scale models that had world of tanks freebies inside. One of them was an artillery piece but I could not remember what brand, and it had a sticker on it saying there was $20 or $25 worth of World of Tanks freebies inside. I am guessing it was likely Hobbyboss because the next box I saw with the WoT promotion was the massive $150 M1070 HET w/ trailer and it had $40 worth of freebies. Now I have done a little searching on the web trying to find out if this was real or not and I could not find anything about Hobby Boss and World of Tanks teaming up but I did find this post: http://www.network54...e HobbyBoss HET

Seems like a neat deal for anyone thats already interested in this particular kit. Although for that price range whoever buys it is probably already swimming in gold  :D

Is this also 1/35 scale or is it a larger one?  I just bought my first tiger (academy's full interior one.)  It'll pry be a while til I start it though.  Have to weather a PzIII and paint my Panther yet, and then I have an E-50, a PzIV, a Hotchkiss, and a Merkava IV that I'll pry do first.

Yes it is theshiyal....I almost always build 1/35, I have built a few 1/15, a tiger, and a panther.. those are actually at my hobby store in their front window. I love 1/35 and this is a Academy "Wittman" version...but i wont make it Wittmans Tiger. Just started researching what Tiger this one will be.

Good luck with yours as I just enjoy builiding these things and I wish you  well

Question: How do you motorize your tank? : o Can you do it to any model tank (as long as it has a working suspension?)

Can any of you guys and gals recommend any good models or lines that would be good for me to build with my 7 (almost 8) year old? He is an avid WOT player (1200 battles and counting) and I have been looking for something, ideally one of his tanks (mid-tier Germans for now), that are not too expensive and don't have 1000 parts. He is brilliant for 7, but he is still only 7. I'd love to go with Dragon or some of the other high-detail lines, but way too many parts.

Also, in some other thread here in the forums I saw that both Dragon and Squadron have some kind of deals with WOT. A coupon in the box or something for some gold and a tier 2 tank and garage slot, or whatever. So something else to look for. The Chieftain added to the thread, so it appeared to be real offers.

I'll wager it's part of the Squadron deal. They were displaying the kit at IHobby, and a damned impressive kit it was too. On my shopping list, or it would be if I didn't already have a couple dozen unbuilt ones on my to-do list.

Which reminds me, I need to go buy that new airbrush...

I wonder if I should go and grab some easy Panzer model for myself. I hadn't done any modelling in ages until I picked a model of IJN's Haguro up about two years back (note, it's still work in progress ). Perhaps I should pick up something easier, something that doesn't britle with 0,3mmx2mm AA guns. I have one model spray can that says 'grau' on the lable, so that should work as panzergrau for some early model German tank.

Anyone have good suggestions for relatively easy to assemble lables or kits?

(Edit) On related note, looking at the hull of my Haguro, it seems I applied bit too thick layer of undercoat in places. I should really redo that part. Does turpentine work well for removing modelling paint?

I highly recommend Tamiya 1/35th scale kits as they come together superbly without being too expensive (with the exception of the latest releases which are a little expensive). Also they have plenty of detail without being over-engineered. DO NOT go Dragon/DML/Cyber-Hobby, those are very detailed kits with 1000000000000000 parts. Also try to stick to medium/heavy tanks as they tend to have a bit more space to work around.

I can think of a few that may be good for a first kit.

Tamiya's M26 Pershing
http://www.luckymode...aspx?item_no=TA 35254

Tamiya's IS-3
http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM35211

Tamiya's Stug III
http://www.hobbyeasy.../data/9701.html

I believe I did my first kit (Tamiya's Panzer IV Ausf H) back when I was about 7 too, just before the first gulf war. Nice to see the younger generation picking this up!
Hope that helps.
