I've been looking around for a battle chat removal mod and haven't found one that is recent. I'd like to test out a couple if they are out there and maybe end up creating my own as it seems there aren't any out there.

Any help is appreciated!

I shut off chat in settings. Why do you need a mod ?

With almost 19,000 battles under your belt, I'm assuming you're already aware of the ability to turn off chat in your game settings?

And with that in mind, curious if the kind of mod you're looking for is to essentially add an extra layer of inconvenience (in terms of shutting down the client, uninstalling the mod, firing it back up) to prevent you from sending some nasty language in-game?

If you're not sure how to disable chat, simply check the box in your game settings under the General Tab that says "Disable chat with allies" and the box that says "receive messages only from contact list"

This will effectively disable all forms of chat except PM's from your people on your friends list.

There's an option to remove chat in-game, if you don't like people pinging the map... just mute them.

Genuinely wasn't trying to be sassy at all D:
Just legitimately curious what the merits of such a mod would be considering it's already an in-game function.

Domo: Now explain why, after 6 years WoT still allows map pinging. OH SNAP!

Years ago you had to use a mod to get rid of chat....WG incorporated an option to turn it off as you like...op may have taken a long break and missed the update where they included it...

I would LOVE a mod that makes the chat, battle notifications included, disappear completely.  It's actually a duplicate of what is shown on the mini map.  I wouldn't mind making those notifications disappear also.

I would also like a mod like this. My 8 year old son loves tanks and absolutely loves this game. Because of the incredibly toxic community and lack of a parental controls, he isn't allowed to play. Turning off the chat in settings is simple, which is why it DOESN'T work in this case. Kids are clever, and mine learned how to enable chat the same day. If I had a second client that controlled the chat, I could hide the file to ensure he could not turn it back on. It sucks because he's actually very good at the game and researches the history of tanks he enjoys.
