Greetings!

15Jan2019 will mark the end of the Referral Program 1.0 in all regions.

I understand that players will have many questions concerning this announcement and ask that they post them here.

I will answer them in this thread as soon as I have information.

My primary question isn't so much about the program itself, but rather the T95E2 that was offered with the referral program. Are there any plans to turn it into a full-fledged Premium tank, or at least give it a penetration buff? It feels like it's been forgotten amongst the mix. A lot of the other "special tanks" have been receiving buffs as of late, so it only seems right to give the T95E2 some attention as well.

I'm going to guess that whatever replaces it will be  better.

Of the couple of people I have tried to bring along :

One just couldn't hack the chat abuse targeted at new people, and getting destroyed by seal clubbers.

One guy just looked at the garage screen and quit, it looked so complicated.

Number three looked at the shop, decided the prices were ridiculous and that was it.

Some suggestions:

Let new people transfer crews for free for the first couple tiers and vehicles.

Give one free 100% commander with Sixth sense at maybe the 50 battle mark.

Give them free premium for a month.

Reset stats after 1,000 games. (Would also make more work for rerolls)

Maybe instead of "just" referring you have rewards for mentors- sort of anti seal clubbers who go down to low tier to volunteer for platoons with noobs. (Youd probably have to have some sort of feedback so that new people can flag trollers). Compensate mentors by not counting losses, etc against their stats while mentoring.

So, my friend who rarely plays, but DOES from time to time...  They're just... screwed?

And, I didn't do it for the T95E2, but, eventually, it was going to happen...  But now?  What the heck?

One more thing,  instead of an all or nothing reward like the T95, maybe a graduated system of benchmarks. Not unlike the marathons we have now-just no buy out option, and both players get them. Ten tiers, ten stages.

What happens to people who have recruited new players in the last few months?  Will they get transferred to the new Refer a Friend program, will they continue in the old legacy system past January 15th, or are they just screwed if their recruit doesn't reach tier X by the end date?

So will the new one be broken as well?

I tried the old one with my friend who hadn't played for a year.  I invited him to return through WG's system.  He got their email and reinstalled on his own and returned.  Nope, that doesn't do it.  He was supposed to click the link in their email (who does that today with all the phishing?) and then be directed by them to download software to install (sounding like a phish again right?).  I put in a ticket but was told "you did it wrong he had to use the email link or no dice".  Good job WG.

So, my feed back is to link your back end invite system to the game directly and DON"T USE EMAIL.

Can you give more details on what exactly is happening?

My recruit is at tier 9, if he doesn't get to tier 10 before the deadline then we get nothing?  Or will the current plan continue, you just can't invite new people.

yeah like my recruit is at tier 7 so i dont think he will be finished by jan 15,

so the question is

jan 15th it is finished?

so he needs to be at tier 10 by then?

or  is there a extention of like a few months for existing referrals?

It did get a better tration buff up to 181 on the standard round. The premium round stayed heat and did not get any buff if I remember correctly. But the standard buff penetration if they gave it sucks it needs to be up around 218 to be worth a crap in the premium Round should be buffed to like 300-310 I have it and I think they need to buff the turret armor also, it's got the M48 Patton old turret with 177 frontal armor while they need to definitely buff that too so when you're hull down you can actually Bounce a round . I get tier 6's that'll go through my turret

I think that it would be cool if they offered it as a prem to purchase or even some even for others to get it. However, those who originally got for the referral should get special camo for it. For anybody wondering the is very similar to the 59-Patton, and yes it needs a slight buff because it under preforms when matched up with Tier X tanks. I still like my T95E2 better than the 59-Patton.

Echoing some of the other concerns.  My son is at T9 but has 200 000k to unlock the T10.  Am I out of luck on the reward tank?

so are you planning to actually give us any answers to the questions being asked? i also have several recruits who have not hit 10 yet but are getting there. am i just screwed now, or are those who already have recruits going to be able to finish off this system?

granted its only been 1 day since this thread was made, but still some answers would be nice, especially the sooner the better because times ticking if we plan to try and plow through it in hopes of possibly making it, even if thats very unlikely.

I am wondering what would happen with your current referrals?  the ones you are working with, yes for the reward tank and the other goodies.  Would that still be kept for the ones who signed before the sunset date or how would that work?

Give him a goal. You have around 40 days to get the Tier 10 tank.  That's 5,000xp per day.

Also, take advantage of the "Play your tank correctly" missions (or whatever they are called). Extra 10K XP a day just for following the missions. Though if he is doing a heavy line he is probably screwed, those missions are hard.

Grind about 100 games over 14 days throughout December, earn 60K xp and get 140,000 free xp. Done.

I agree with the tanker above that suggested those that have progress toward the refer a friend completion tank: 1, Perhaps we could be get grandfathered in at the current XP level, 2. or if we would get a cash option for buying out the reward tank much like is being done with the Holiday Mission. for example break each 100,000K of XP into a completed mission so in this case (10 increments) and then offer a buyout for cash or gold. This would: 1. enhance revenue for World of Tanks and 2. Reward players that were hard working refer a friend members in the past...the same people that would likely continue in the future with the new program. 3. Promote goodwill and interest during holidays when many people have the best chance of recruiting and playing with friends that normally do not have the time to play MMOG's

I think WG does workshops on how to post "information" that actually has no information in it, and creates dozens more questions and then never responds. I think they have an internal contest and get bonuses for who can come up with the worst communication possible.
