I understand that many players are concerned about their progress and thank everyone for their patience.

I have not forgotten about this thread, and waiting for additional information before sharing.

I tried having some people be a recruit under me. But never really did anything. They all left the game.

To everyone that is still watching this thread thank you for your patience.

WG is currently reviewing data concerning the changes to refer a friend and how it will impact the community as a whole.

Still waiting on more information as to what the specific changes will entail.

I got a buddy to play and was pretty regular for awhile, got about halfway to the reward tank, then he got sidetracked and rarely plays....another guy was in my clan and he left too, does not play any more.     I think it was a fair program but assuring one will stay in the game is a hindrance.

They should just give a set reward to the recruiter and not relevant to the recruits progress....one and done type reward.

I have two questions that I hope are an easy answer:

1.  My recruit only needs to research a Tier X to get the reward tank, or does he also need to purchase a Tier X?

2.  And we don't have to be playing together when he gets it, he just needs to get to Tier X?

just saw this...so have to earn 1 million xp together?!?

Please be aware that in order for a Recruiter to receive the T95E2, the recruit must either:

  • Be an entirely brand new player ( zero battles played), and purchase their first Tier X vehicle
  • Platoon with the Recruiter to gain a total of 1,000,000 Experience

So, 18 days until the referral program ends, and we still don't have any information on what's going to happen?

It reminds me of my old job.  Someone in upper-management would make a major policy change for "sound business reasons", but would never work out all the details of how to implement the change.  It always fell to the lowest-level worker bees to cobble together something at the last minute (or after the last minute) in order to keep things running.

My mates at tier 6, it would be really nice if you could actually give us some answers before it is to late to do anything about it

I'm going to guess that whatever replaces it will be  better.

Of the couple of people I have tried to bring along :

One just couldn't hack the chat abuse targeted at new people, and getting destroyed by seal clubbers.

One guy just looked at the garage screen and quit, it looked so complicated.

Number three looked at the shop, decided the prices were ridiculous and that was it.

Some suggestions:

Let new people transfer crews for free for the first couple tiers and vehicles.

Give one free 100% commander with Sixth sense at maybe the 50 battle mark.

Give them free premium for a month.

Reset stats after 1,000 games. (Would also make more work for rerolls)

Maybe instead of "just" referring you have rewards for mentors- sort of anti seal clubbers who go down to low tier to volunteer for platoons with noobs. (Youd probably have to have some sort of feedback so that new people can flag trollers). Compensate mentors by not counting losses, etc against their stats while mentoring.

"Of the couple of people I have tried to bring along :

Funny you mention that. The first couple months of my playing this game (Upon returning last year, after having played for a couple months back in 2011 I think? when the game was in its' infancy) I was on the receiving end of a lot of this. After seeing it go on game after, either to myself, or others with no repercussions, I started responding in kind as soon as some momo would start running their mouth.

The result? Chat bans for me. What sweet justice, eh? Being that there's a filter in the game to block profanity, what good reason is there not to just implement that game wide? To make the game a little more friendly for kids, and for those that don't enjoy language that makes them think they're at a bar down on the wharf, surrounded by a bunch of drunken sailors? Seriously, why hasn't this happened? Somebody wants to type a 4-letter word, and it just comes through in all xxxx's, or random characters. Honestly, would this be that hard to implement? And would people leave the game in droves if they could no longer heap profane abuse on others?

Echoing some of the other concerns.  My son is at T9 but has 200 000k to unlock the T10.  Am I out of luck on the reward tank?

World of Warplanes has what are called "Santa Bags" as opposed to the large xmas boxes we have here. If you check the WOWP forum, most of those guys are saying that they're averaging 450k-500k free exp. from 100 Santa Bags. That's one way to guarantee that your son gets to tier 10, as Free exp. WOWP  carries over to WOT and WOWS. If you gifted 100 of those bags to his account, he could get his tier 10, and you could get your award tank. Just a thought, either way good luck!

Same here...I recruited like 7 people last couple months but now all that is maybe going to be wasted???

Hopefully it will transfer over to the new system in some way.

Why would anyone be stupid enough to recommend this trash to a friend. I think that would be an immediate un-friending event.

Please dont throw our program in the trash. I came back from a long time break, and only knew about this program couple of days ago, already got 3  friends in the game [well, one didnt used my invite :(], they are enjoying a lot, im getting rewarded for that and didnt want to lose this.
But.. if that's not possible, i will understand and i'll make sure to learn everyday and teach them everything (not so much) i learned so far from this community ;)

Nine days to go, and Wargaming still hasn't let us know what they're doing, if anything.

They've pushed back the end of the current program to February 5th:  https://worldoftanks...d-closing-1118/

Pretty sad when it takes another customer to announce this instead of a Wargaming employee.
