Once you get tired of reloading after every little patch you'll drop it.

Yeah, if you've got ADD and can't be bothered to spend 2 minutes downloading and 20 seconds installing you'll tire of it quickly...

Other than that, the "negatives" associated with XVM have nothing to do with XVM. It's the people who just can't handle the extra info that give the mod a bad name. Definitely not a mod I'd recommend to anyone who is easily put on tilt...

While I don’t use XVM, too lazy to update, it does have some good interface mods.

I used it for a long time while gathering win chance data.   I haven't used it in over a year, and haven't noticed any difference without it.   It's not really necessary, and I definitely don't recommend it for new players.

The only reason you should use XVM is to determine whether to play aggressive or more defensive in your games.

I just want the garage enhancements. If WG adapted them all I think many would abandon XVM.

90% of the time I don't use xvm to determine what enemies are a threat but to figure out which of my allies are more likely to assist me. Knowing I have a reliable player nearby allows me to be more confident in pushing, flanking, and trading. Also most modpacks include other features that will assist decision making in game such as team hp, last known positions, hitlogs, etc. As long as you don't look at the stats in your game and predetermine the outcome of the game I don't see much harm in downloading xvm/mods.

this +1

XVM is a must have for mods. Just dont log it in and the stats wont bug you.

Top things? Equip auto return, no more Roman numerals or inept contour icons. Vastly superior carousel stats and filtering. Ive now started removing all tank camo.

Cant live without it. Great art work but Russians have no idea what they are doing. XVM fixes that.

XVM is cancer. Don't do it.

Since I got rid of it, I'm a much happier player (and done better).

I don't run XVM at all.  I use mods for user interface and the combo server reticle/client reticle, but outside of that, pretty much it.  XVM is too toxic, and the funny thing is most of the big crap talkers I run into playing this game are terrible players saying how bad the team suck.  So after the game, go look at their stats, and they're a sub 46% player with 250 xp a game, and like 550 dmg per game...

Either way, moral of  the story, don't use XVM.

I do use XVM but as a tool for information. I have found the predicted win/loss indicator is not concrete evidence which side will win and the battle can go either way when it says a chance to win from 40-60%. I don't pay much attention to it when it's between those 2 numbers. What I do pay attention to is when the chance is outside that window. When chance to win is above 60% your team will win most of the time. When chance to win is below 40% your chance to win is very low. A few battles back, on the x5 weekend, I got a battle ,3/5/7 MM, with a chance to win of 27%. One of the lowest I have ever seen. I then looked at the player stats for each side. Enemy team 6 blue with the 3 top tier tanks being a platoon of blue players, 6 green, 2 yellow and 1 red player. My team, 1 green (me) bottom tier, 4 yellows and the rest red with our 3 top tier tanks being a platoon of red players. Needless to say the battle was over within 3 minutes with a 15-0 loss.

Many people say XVM is bad for the game. I agree to a certain point as some players may suicide so they can go onto the next battle ASAP so not to waste their time or they just worry about their stats. But what is does show is the horrible imbalance in player skill the MM can give. Because of the skill imbalance the battle is pretty much decided from the beginning of the match when below 40% or above 60%. No different than putting a NHL team up against a Bantam team. Wonder who would win that? That's why many players are asking for balanced skilled based MM.

True.  Auto equipment, crew, and camo returns save tons of gold / silver.  They are major quality of life improvements.

Yep, it's worthwhile.  The 4-5 row garage carousel and auto return of equipment and crew alone makes it worthwhile.

However, I got annoyed at having to reinstall it every micropatch, so I haven't used it in over a year.

I find it very helpful to have some sort of guess about the other players skill levels.  Poor players don't like it because they can get griefed.  Good players don't like it because they often get focused.

I used it for a bit, then when the last update occurred I decided to uninstall it, after which my pre-match lobby that shows the map and all the players and tank types is now blank...so another thing to figure out how to fix...:sceptic:
