There's a few maps where I really want to explore beyond the red line. It would be a great novelty to be able to drive over the hills into the next valley or follow the rail lines for a mile or two.

Which maps would you like to break out of and why?

Province might be fun if it expanded and you could get to even higher ground on the sides and behind cap

Ruinburg mirrored (town side) and tweaked might be fun. The city would be a circle, with a nice cap in the middle. Sniping fire lines would cut straight through city and cap

Prok would be a great one for that, so would Highway.  I want to drive into a Tornado!

Could also paste several maps with similar themes together.

Empire's Border, Sacred Valley, Hidden Village and Dragon Ridge......  Make a massive Asian themed map.

Remember that Prok was part of the overall Kursk offensive.  That means that the snowy Russian city map, whose name that I can't remember, that is currently in HD testing will make a come back.  So, hypothetically, you could expand Prok out to include everything that was in the Kursk offensive or, at the very least, everything that was around those maps to show what the full battle would have been line.

I'd also like to see a massive Battle of the Bulge Front Line, a Kasserine Pass Front Line, etc.  So many massive tank battles that could be had if they'd make it a go.

Wow I actually despise Prokhorovka, province and all the other open large maps because they are only meant for TD, light tanks and SPG's. Prokhorovka is a camping map, Province is the same and Malinovka is a camping map

Just remember --

"A mile or Two" == that's like 1.6-3.2KM -- or the map size of Frontline (it was 3km x 3km) -- so adding this much to any map would in most cases (Ensk, Widepark, some others being the exceptions) make a map larger than Frontline (unless you really did make it linear -- i.e. push it only in one direction a 1km x 4km map for example)

And yes Prok was the penultimate battle at Kursk -- but the entire offensive area (Kursk "bulge" ) was roughly 250km N/S and 160km E/W.  The fight into and around Prokhorovka - was about 5km x 6km -- or 30 sq km -- Frontline only 9sq km -- so it would (currently) be a real challenge for WG to be able to scale up their battlefield to this level.

Having these maps built would (IMO) be fantastic and allow them to be chained in a series of missions -- prior efforts in the area of Historic battle modeling did not go down well with the player community... personally I love the idea.

What if we could explore Normandy and do operation overlord?

There should be a downloadable client called WOT Adventure mode.

I'd be happy if they just brought Frontline back.
