I think they should track this stat.  I believe I'm getting close to 50%, which would be much higher than my win rate.

I believe 5 of my last 6 games and most games today I have not been able to do any damage.  :/  edit: add another one.   edit2:  6 in a row  edit3: 7 in a row  edit4: 8 in a row  :/

My personal reserves ran out, so I'm done for the day.  I probably had at least a dozen games where I didn't manage a single point of damage.

On the bright side I bought the Te-Ke - I think that can probably do some damage.

For me that stat would be higher than I’d like as well. I’m very inconsistent. Sometimes I’ll have a good game and then zero damage the very next one. We have about the same number of battles so I’m sure we will get better and have less zero damage games in the future.

Please tell how do you do zero damage in 8 games in a row. Did you just never fire or just cant aim? Like what was going on there in that brain of yours. It just baffles me

Beats me.  I used to have a 55% win rate in Ikv 103.  I'm only landing about 1/3 of the shots, and they never do damage.

Edit: LOL, the minute my 2 hour personal reserves run out I get 2 kills.  But...still a loss

I would suggest learning a bit of the game more if you cant handle tier 7. Like the learning curve gets steeper espcially on that line

It's a Tier V vehicle.  I've learned the game, but the details of the maps have changed a bit since a year ago.  Sitting in Tier II for the rest of my life is not going to help.

You might be using the wrong gun.  I learned after too many games that the top gun carries HEAT and HEAT PREM only.  Use the other gun.

Heh, I think I did change guns earlier today.  However the bottom gun still has less penetration.

Lol sorry i dont even recall ever playing that but still if you are havimg a hard time in it would better switch to some other line for now. Swedish TDs are harder as you go higher and i would suggest the staple soviets. Like its most friendly for anyone to play. everyone i know got the IS7 as one their early tanks when they just started as it helps you understand the basics but up to you if you continue on that line

Swedish TDs are the only reason I started playing this game.  I thought they were pretty cool back in the 1980's.  I was actually pretty decent in them last year.

Well gl mate. Its a hard line for pubs but dont worry about hitting shots in higher teirs. One of the best tanks for sniping

Nevermind, Te-Ke can only pen enemies in the rear, and isn't fast enough to get behind anyone.  :teethhappy:

I don't think you understand.  HEAT is a terrible ammo type to only have available.

Forget the pen value and think.  Having AP and HE along with HEAT is better.  Spaced armor defeats HEAT.  You can't overmatch with HEAT.  You could do damage with AP or HE when HEAT will fail you.

Did you forget why you posted this thread?!?!  I can believe you have 0 damage games with HEAT, because that's why that gun is bad.  You won more than you lost I suspect before you switched.

I know the guns now and I screwed up by using the top gun.  Please learn that the top gun is not always a good choice.  You will encounter this on other tanks.

I want others to avoid this mistake.  You were right to ask for help and it was given, but you choose to ignore it.

The fact that I looked at the penetration values shows I didn't "ignore".  I also saw that the top gun has faster reload, lower dispersion and higher shell velocity.  At least on the surface numbers it looks better in many ways.  Aside from the problem with tracks, does HEAT's penetration fall off faster with angle of incidence than regular AP?

At 2600ish games, understandably you have no or little idea about the armor values and armor structures of most of the higher tier opponents you face.

HEAT type of shells will penetrate the outer (spaced) armor and explode, it will not penetrate the inner armor.

There are brilliant videos on YouTube, produced by WarGaming (maker of this game) visually explaining penetration mechanics.

You can go and watch, learn how and when to use HEAT.

The fact that you think that gun is better after looking at the "surface numbers" is a superficial look at best if you don't understand the relevance that you only have HEAT.

I don't know how to explain it more clearly other than doing an interpretive dance to explain this. (it would be basically me flopping around on the ground while holding a "L" to my forehead)

OK, looks like ignoring you would have been the right choice after all.

Aside from the extra external plates and fenders, if you can even see them at a distance or with the vehicle as just an outline, there isn't much way to know.

I'm still interested in whether the "curve" for penetration vs. angle of incidence is different for HEAT than for other ammo.

And, posting this humorous venting thread did the trick, as I immediately got better maps and 3 out of 4 of the games that followed were pretty good ones.

If I had that stat available to see, I would probably never play again. HAH!

Some games are better than others. I have had my share of the zeros, that's for sure. But annoyingly, it's right after a really good game. I have to try to apologize to my team like "Seriously! I don't suck that bad! Sorry!"
