Was just wondering what voice the female crew members for the holiday ops are going to have. Are they going to have the generic american female voice like the twitch prime commander from last month or are they going to still have the same voice as the nation they're assigned to? I kinda wana know before assigning them to a tank of a nation that I may like the voices for more then the american ones if they end up having the american voice.

That is an important question.

I don't have an answer for you.

Personally, I want WG to give us more specifics about their individual personalities... are they spunky? Clever? Hard workers? I feel these attributes are going to influence my tanking decisions greatly.

I use "national voices" not English language.

I don't need to know what they're actually saying, and I like the variety that comes with the correct languages.

I still think the Chinese Commanders have the most gritty sounding commands. I like them the best overall. When you miss they sound really ticked off.

The Chinese female Commanders sound a bit funny.

The Swede female Commanders have some interesting utterances.

Dominatrix Commanders are great. :great:

They will use the national voice you assign them to

I'm just happy to hear they can be trained for any specialization.

With them being a "Holiday" crew, I'm expecting something "elfish". So, they will probably sound a lot like high-pitched Munchkins.

Ahhh, more sweet Dominatrix Commanders.

Leather and studs with a riding crop, that's what good Commanders are made of.

You got to admire a Commander who knows when to deploy the ball gag.:great:

PLEASE keep the female crew we receive in the Christmas event the same as last year. Once assigned to a nation, they become like the rest of that nation's crew, uniform and style.

example:  Jane Snow commander of the Chinese 113 seem odd to anyone?

There's plenty of other more unrealistic stuff, like having females at all for starters.  Just tell yourself she's a defector or something.

While female tank commanders were rare they were not unheard of.

As to your statement that having females "at all" is unrealistic or in some way rare, that's just not true.

The first line of this article relates that 800,000+ Soviet females fought in WW II.

Not worked in factories (like the other Allied women), fought, as in combat.

https://www.rbth.com/history/329236-soviet-female-tank-crews

Some numbers.

The Soviet Union mobilized women at an early stage of the war, integrating them into the main army units, and not using the "auxiliary" status. More than 800,000 women served in the Soviet Armed Forces during the war, which is roughly 3 percent of total military personnel, mostly as medics. About 300,000 served in anti-aircraft units and performed all functions in the batteries—including firing the guns. A small number were combat flyers in the Air Force, forming three bomber wings and joining into other wings. Women also saw combat in infantry and armored units, and female snipers became famous after commander Lyudmila Pavlichenko made a record killing 309 Germans (mostly officers and enemy snipers).

Yep, I realize that.  But... by "at all" I meant, as tankers.  So... several dozen, soviet only, female tankers distributed among many thousands of players?  Yes, you could look at it any way you want... which was my point, basically, to rationalize having them.  Anyway, thanks for the cool article... I had read some of that information before but not all of it.

Mine have a British accent, just like the Twitch Prime commander.  It totally depends on what nation you place them in.
