(I didnt know where to post this at)

Does anyone know of a decent MOD pack for lower end computers for WOT? I have to run graphics on the lower end scale and i am just trying to get the most "bang" for what I have.

Thanks

Issue you will have is Mod packs take up resources, even low end ones, so you might want to ask yourself if you want to slow your comp more just to have a few mods and how that will effect your game play.

Aslains mod pack has a good selection of performance enhancing mods. Try that. In the meantime mind posting your computer specs? You may only need a minor upgrade to get stable frames and decent image quality.

I will check that one out, I normally only really use XVM and a few minor mods. I have a laptop with a integrated mother board so I cant really do that I dont guess. However, how do I post my computer specs so you can see?

For a laptop then the aslains mod pack has a whole slew of performance enhancers that remove unwanted effects and other drains on fps. As to the specs don't bother as nothing can be done to upgrade it.

Just out of curiosity do you have any amount of budget to spend on a computer? A refurb desktop hooked up to your tv if it has an hdmi port can easily beat out that laptop with its own integrated graphics and a usable monitor and dedicated gpu can be found for cheap too. Then you can give the laptop to the kids and have a decent pc for the man cave.

I do have a decent budget, however, when talking about used or refurbished I don't know what would be good or something I am just throwing money away on to get more of what I already have.

I have looked but I'm not a big computer guy so I get confused when looking for a decent used system. I currently use a monitor on my laptop so that wouldn't be an issue. Would just need a tower I guess.

WG has a mod that disables even more effects to help potato PCs, gotta search it in their official mods website.

As long as the refurb is from a manufacturer and sold by a reliable reseller they are perfectly ok as most are from offices where they get little hardcore use and typically run office apps all day on minimum power settings.

In that case then walmart or best buy has an excellent refurb choice usually better than can be found on the auction sites and easier to navigate. If you can afford around $300 then this will blow the doors off your laptop.

$250: https://www.walmart....cluded/49333309

The integrated on that one will easily beat your laptop integrated and should run well on the standard render at minimum detail without the need for performance mods.

However if you have the extra money this will easily let you run the improved render on mixed settings at 60 fps.

$70: https://www.amazon.c.../?tag=pcpapi-20

And finally if you can double the $70 you can get a 1050 ti and game like a champ as long as you stick to 1080p.

XVM is a resource hog, I don't even run it with a GTX 1080 and a 6 core cpu just for that reason. I just run a few standalone mods

Stay away from the Wal Mart computers, they have a terrible reputation for using sub-standard components, and in some cases even falsely advertising a part as a different one.

If you have a few hundred you can get any number of entry level gaming PCs on Amazon.  Cyber Power is very well regarded and has good customer support, plus their systems are upgradeable in the future.

There used to be a mod that allowed you to reduce the terrain mesh size.  I used it when I first started because I had a potato PC.  It basically made the terrain much less detailed and a little more blocky.   You had to be careful shooting over terrain because what you saw on your PC wasn't exactly representative of what was actually in front of you.  Many times I saw a clear LoS to a target on my PC, but was hitting dirt in front of me.

This game is leaving old PCs behind. You need a new one if you want to play it in any long-term capacity.

You may want to check out OldSkools Pro Mod - https://wgmods.net/532/ - from the MOD HUB WORLD OF TANKS [just realized that KEBAB6597 had already posted - apologies for any confusion]

There is a selection called IIRC [I want to install without XVM - awesome option for weak computers]

Also the MOD HUB WORLD OF TANKS is a centralized place to look for approved MODS

You are talking about the walmart branded gaming pc and you are mostly right. However those are not the refurbs I listed as they are all dell office computers with minimal wear.

This is what you are referring to.
