The French Tier VIII wheeled armored vehicle, the Panhard AML Lynx 6x6 hit Supertest today!

This round of testing will check the balance of the vehicle, and continue testing the new mechanics in a gameplay environment. Based on the test results, a decision will be made on the final mechanics and performance characteristics for the entire mini-branch.

Unlike previous Wheeled vehicles that have been revealed, such as the Panhard EBR, this machine is built on a different wheelbase that features three axles instead of four. It retains the all-wheel drive functionality of the Panhard EBR and the new mechanics of wheeled vehicles.

The Lynx is armed with a 90-mm autoloader with 240 Alpha Damage.

It follows the general concept of wheeled vehicles; fast and maneuverable in motion, unable to turn when stationary. The solid gun stability and overall concealment are mitigated with a generally low view range.

Depending on the test results, the specs of the Lynx and the game mechanics linked to it may change. Follow the news and good luck on the battlefield!

So this "thing" is neither an AML 90 Lynx nor is it an ERC 90 Lynx.

The AML 90 Lynx was a 4x4 vehicle with a sort-of pike nose in the front.

The ERC 90 Lynx has the 3 axles, but the 2nd one is located closer to the third rather than being mounted symmetrically between the two.

So, could someone so kindly explain to me what this abomination is supposed to be?

A good scout has a hard enough time in the current meta, think how much more difficult it will be for a blind scout that has to find things by braille. I'm extremely skeptical that the wheeled lights will be played as active scouts with any success. The bad pubbies will suicide-scout and die pointlessly in the first minute of the match. The mediocre pubbies will try to camo-snipe and in all likelihood be all but irrelevant to their team's success. The good pubbies that just want to goof around may give these a run for some cheap lulz, but for anything even remotely resembling serious goal-driven play I wouldn't expect wheeled lights to even leave the garage, let alone enter it in the first place.

Not only the view range, but but wondering about traverse degrees.

Someone posted awhile ago some in game comparisons and it referred to it as wheel turning angle now it seems to be suspension traverse speed and it was noticeably less than the tracked tanks that were compared against.  The listed suspension traverse speed seems a bit lacking without looking.

Regardless of listed values I'm thinking they won't turn as tight as a tank which will make it harder to abuse defilade/terrain while active.   Then there's also the questions of how much it'll bleed in turns and/or drift.  As well as "grip" with or without those trench wheels engaged.

Also the few videos I've seen have them climbing by getting around terrain by jumping onto spots inaccessible now for tracked tanks and climbing from there.

What this is, is a Wargaming invention because the ERC 90 Lynx was first prototyped in 1977, and the Panhard AML 90 is only 4x4 when Wargaming wants a 6x6. So they combine the two into a fictional vehicle, and I would bet money on the description claiming some nonsense like it being an idea from the late 1960s or something. All to avoid an arbitrary 1970 cutoff date that they've already violated multiple times now. Key thing to note here is that the design work for a 6x6 vehicle to replace the Panhard AML 90 started in 1975, so there's no way this could be from before then.

Can this be the premium? Looks way more interesting then the EBR thing. Also, the EBR looks similar to the IX and X so wouldn't it be a better fit for the tech tree?

They are putting blocks on the map to prevent the weird climbs.
