GTX 970 on a Windows 7 enterprise edition with an i5 4590

I don't recall the background flickering after the 1.0 update, but it certainly has since then. The only thing flickering is the background image beyond the map, and I mostly notice it at the beginning of the match, because once the match starts my camera view is more localized.  Is there a setting to turn just the background image off?  I haven't studied it enough to notice if it is on all maps.

It depends on the current patch and which maps but certain ones for me have drawn water every other frame. Himmelsdorf is one. My card is an ATI RADEOn 1900 so it probably could use an update if this coin mining thing ever stops influencing vid card prices.

Try updating your graphics drivers if you haven't already and make sure your pc/graphics card aren't overheating.....

Check your in-game Graphics settings.

After the latest patch, I started noticing my FPS dropping after 5-7 games. Once it dropped to about 30-40 FPS, I would restart the game client.

When I checked my in-game Graphics settings, I noticed that Tessellation, and a few other settings, had been turned back on. Some of my other "custom" settings hadn't been changed though. So, I turned Tessellation and the other settings off, again, and haven't noticing the FPS dropping.
