Had a good game earlier today in my Strv S1. I almost pulled off a come from behind victory but they got me. I'm posting this because of all the talk lately about new OP tanks, particularly the IS-3A and SU-130PM. Also another favorite said to be OP, the Object 252 Defender. The reds had a lot of supposed OP tanks, mostly heavies. I actually think the red team with all their heavies left got a little over anxious and careless, so they paid.

What I want to say is, don't complain that you got killed because someone else had an OP tank whether they paid for it or won it in an event. They just out played you that match. Get 'em next time!

PS. All those Tier X games I'm constantly in my Tier VIIIs (thanks 3/5/7) I sometimes consider training. Helps my play when the odds are a little more even.

Nice game but there aren't many tier 8 tanks that OP to 330 pen apcr so I'm not sure your conclusion is valid.

defender can be penned easily enough in the drive wheel area if you are lucky and get the sides fyi

330 apcr pen does not care about sides.

"I had a good battle so that proves overpowered tanks don't exist"

I can't even.

OP claims he thinks red team played poorly ("got a little over anxious and careless")
Red team still won
OP then says don't complain when killed by OP tanks, you just got outplayed...

Irony much?

I don't get it, if you have a good player in a mediocre tank, and a bad player in an overperforming tank, but the good player still wins, the bad player's tank isn't actually overperforming?

I think you're blaming the tanks for the results of that fight, when in reality it was the players' skill that made the greater difference here, along with some RNG possibly.

Tanks.gg would like to have a word with you.

A T-54 beating a T-44 doesn't necessarily mean the latter was outplayed; it's the same for an OP tier 8 prem beating its tech-tree counterpart.

Do meta premiums and tech tree tanks exist? Sure. Are there enough of them in any given match to unbalance it? Not so much as I can see. A skorp here a defender there and the odd lt432 etc and usually driven by a tater so even less of a threat. But I'm sure someone will come along with a wallotext rebuttal.

if you're comparing the S1 to the udes then I would take a udes over an S1, not only does it have better camo, it has better verticle gun arcs, you can park it behind a hill and shoot with impunity knowing even if they spot you they'll still have an extremely hard time hitting you vs the S1 that has to show its entire hull to get a shot off
