I could not direct you to the quote, my search skills are legendarily bad, but I do recall a WG post that stated smooth bores and wheeled vehicles were a no no.

Actually, it might have been in a Q & A not a post.

I wonder when the M60 will go on sale.

I bought it back with the KV-2 bia crew bundle.  I've not ran mine much yet, but from my handful of battles in it I agree with Tsavo.  And, keep in mind I've a handful or two of games, it almost always gets T9 matches.  And it is a big [edited]arty magnet with that big flat rear deck.

I got one before work today. Loot box gold made it a very easy purchase.

I used to be in credit card commandos a long, long time ago, in a meta far, far away.....

Yes WOWS is now selling tier 10 premiums for coal in the arsenal store. Over in this game I think they are going to do the same thing for Bonds in a Bonds store. But I still don't think they will ever sell a Martini Food consumable for British vehicles in the Bonds store, but there is always "A New Hope" story rehash just around the corner so who knows.

Meh.
I guess I'm just jaded, or too old, or too poor, but they all just seem like more of the same.
If really interesting missions or scenarios exemplified unique choices from odd nationalities, I would be more excited. And the new campaigns do help.
But otherwise, it's just another tank I may or may not like, and I don't see a reason to spend money to find out when there are already so many free/timesink tanks.

edit: Important caveat, in regard to some of my purchase choices: I bought the Primo Victoria assuming I could always turn on unique music from Sabaton whenever I drove it...

Doesn't sound like much of a "promise" to me...

Just an FYI to anyone who may be confused. Changing your mind about something does not automatically equate to "breaking a promise", there actually has to be a "promise" made for that to happen...

You are exactly right. All the people who say this thing is great aren't using any stats to justify that. Instead they just talk about the armor bouncing all. But this thing has been dropping it's win rate every month and that is even after the buffs it got. All the new tanks and tank lines can pen this thing from the front with gold. Why do you think they are finally nurfing gold alpha? it's because they are not going to mess with pen numbers anymore. Instead, everything is going to have very high pen gold rounds. because what has always driven people from this game is when you can't pen a tank even when you are using gold rounds. And they are losing so many players a month that they are making darn sure that tanks will be able to pen anything they see if they shoot gold. They will just do less damage for doing so. What will that do? That will cause another static meta where nothing moves except the tiny super fast light tanks that are trying to spot everything. The Mutant is a dinosaur and yes it is dying. I for one am not getting on this train because I can see that it is heading for a cliff.

Here is an original owner. I did care but now I don't give a damn.

WG has lost all honor and integrity over their reversals of promises. The latest broken promise is no wheeled vehicles. If you think arty is hassled now wait for the armored cars to arrive.

Here is one thing that gives me solace. The ONLY thing good about the Mutant fathead was it's exclusivity. As a tank it is a POS that has been power creeped to death. Enjoy your new purchase.

Ok...bring on the trolls!

Ok, that's one. Anyone else?

Only 2 purchases so far, Mauerbrecher and Mutant. Not going to buy anything else unless its an e25 or a lefh. Spent $120 on lootboxes for a lefh and god damn wargaming wont give me one.

I’m kind of surprised that there hasn’t been an uproar about the Mutant being available for 7800 gold yet.  I wouldn’t buy it in the big extortion bundles, but I might today.

Same feeling here, not worth cash but for 7800 gold I will pick it up when I get home.

Here we go, they sort of said no.  But not a definite no - to me at least.

Cause "we don't plan" is different (to me) than we won't or will never.

Because they said we don't PLAN to, then within a year they said differently.

New physics engine around that time IF irc was likely the reason for the change.

 - wheeled vehicles will not be implemented (SS: in connection with the new truck motion from the physics video)

 11. Some time ago, it was written that the developers “accidentally” developed a wheeled vehicle mechanism when exploring movable objects, are there any (even long-term) plans in this direction, eg. armored cars or trucks?

We don’t plan to implement player-controlled vehicles with wheels (Storm)

http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/07/19/armored-cars-and-halftracks-in-wot-part-1-appearance/

Hello everyone,

recently, Storm admitted that Wargaming is considering wheeled vehicles and halftracks  for World of Tanks.

 - Wheeled and halftrack vehicles: “We are thinking about it. But we fear that the demand for them is little, because they would mostly appear on low and medium tiers” (SS: not really, I mean, we tried to put some designs together with a couple of friends and basically the Brits alone – tier 8 easy, Czechoslovaks – tiers 2-8 or so, French tier 10 possibly…;)

I can't believe you have been around this long and never heard SERB proclaim "No wheeled vehicles...EVER". I simply do not know how to reply to you.

Having said that knock yourself out.

Ah same here. Made a fuss the first time now I don't really care. Let more players play it, see how bad it is, and then it will get buffed. Pretty much have to spam "special" ammo.

I don't really know what to do... I have the Patriot and T34 so it's not like I NEED another US Heavy prem... And I like the gameplay of Liberte so I was thinking maybe this is sort of the pref MM version of the Liberte. But to be honest, I feel like I would rather face tier 10's in capable t8 premiums rather than struggle vs the Defender in pref MM tanks. But I have almost 32k gold from boxes and I'm not sure what to spend it on since advent calendar is running out and sales have not been great. If I buy this, it'll still leave me with 24k gold, enough to buy whatever new shows up on the last day and hopefully the Progetto as well if it makes an appearance. I'm torn, I wish I could test drive the tank honestly

Reminds me of when he Lowe and KV-5 first went on sale for 7,500 gold. WG then realized they could charge much higher prices and changed the prices. If I did not  have a U.S heavy crew trainer I would buy this.

Personally I like it. First game in Minsk I put the side against a wall and held a corner. 2900 dmg and 2500 bounced in an all tier 8 game. Next game eaten alive in Prok on the hill.

I think it is a beast but you have to have it face on at all times. If you do not you get outmatched on the sides and violated at will. Decent speed and turning. at under 8000 gold you aren't likely to find anything better to buy.
