Hey anyone else just tired of camping heavily armored tds, like jagdpanzer e100 and badger and 268 v4 and even amx foch b camping when they are matched against other heavy armor and instead of manning up and confronting them they hide back and get 2 shots off the whole game... while me in my m48 has to fight a maus, e100, and 268 all at once. Like I understand in full tier 10 and grand battles of you wanna sit back and play it safe, but in 3-5-7 and 5-10. You are needed to counter enemy heavy armor and not just do what you want all the time.

One of my my last games was literally a 5-10 match making where

our team

m48 (me)

tvp

Jagd e100

268v4

amx 50b

vs

e100

268 v 4

object 430u

type 5

is7

and jagd e100 and our 268 v 4 sat back and camped while our max 50b got run over on the west flank and the me and the tvp got crushed fighting the 268 v4 type 5 and e100. At the end of the battle the jagde100 fired 2 shots and the 268 got off 4.

so has anybody else been seeing this a lot???

Why are they required to stick their necks out for you? I know I wouldn't

There's no set rules on how to play. This isn't clan wars, so expect people to play the way they want. You just have to deal with it.

My first question is, why were you, on two separate occasions, fighting 2 superheavies and a TD in an M48?

My second question is, have you looked at the armor profile of a Foch B?

Tank destroyers are horribly sluggish for the most part, inflexible insecure tanks compared to heavy tanks and mediums.

They have very bad gun soft stats and movement dispersion, without a vert stab to help. Very vulnerable because very few have turrets.

TDs have much of their armour concentrated forward, and cannot sidescrape to even use side armour if they have it, very rarely if at all

Lastly, they tend to lack heavy tank health points, or medium tank maneuverability. So they use their stationary camo bonus.

the advantage that a TD has is range, its not an up and personal tank to brawl with, regardless if it has some armor - but with the gold spam, distance helps the class to survive, but yes they should move up to help support but if they don't, oh well, can't change how a player plays his game, only can change how you play

looks like the battle was rigged from the start

you had mostly nerfed tanks on your side against a lot OP Russian tanks

they did all they could

a team full of nerfed tanks against a bunch of Russian OP tanks basically has no chance of winning

Maybe YOU were doing it wrong.  Fact is, nobody HAS to go head on to win a fight.  Flanking, tracking for arty, drawing them into your TDs’ guns...all options.

High pen premium rounds cut through casemate TDs pretty easily and they cannot angle or corner fight like a tank can.

Look at what your team IS doing, not what YOU THINK they should be doing and try to find a way to fit in.

Sounds to me OP wants the TD's to charge in and soak up shots and sacrifice themselves so he can get shots.

Another snowflake crying about people not doing what he wants them to do.   These threads are getting more common than "remove arty" threads these days.

Seems to be a rise of this belief that tank destroyers are "supposed" to go in first...OP is not the first guy that's holds this belief. Had a couple of matches where a guy in a heavy tank demanded that the TDs go spot.
