Hey community, need help, I have a Mac book pro 2017 and I can run wot on the improved graphics on medium settings (it’s what the recommended settings told me I could run) at about 20-28fps on average and the fans kinda run pretty hard. So I was wondering if any of you out there have any suggestions to boost FPS or just recommmed settings that you use for good performance on Mac without making the game look too awful.

I run a mid-2012 MacBook Pro with integrated graphics card on SD settings, on the low end of the quality spectrum. I get about 30fps, I think. My fans run all the time. I think with most laptops, you're going to get a lot of fan noise regardless.

In May 2018 I went over to the dark side (built a Windows 10 Ryzen 2400G based WoT super-computer).

Prior to that, I played on a Apple MAC mini and here is a link about how I tweaked graphics.

I assume you're using the wrapper? I found that my iMac has an unexpected performance curve where I can either get ~30 fps and fancy graphics with occasional fps drops (super irritating) or ~100 fps with low graphics and no hiccups. Not sure why there's no middle ground.

For what it's worth, I installed Windows 10 (free with harmless "activate windows" thing in the corner) with boot camp. I have an EU account I sometimes play and the graphic performance is much better.
