So getting close to finishing my 4th skill in my Hellcat crew. My 2 girls in the tank are finishing 5 skills. Yet not a single one has repairs or firefighting trained:P I run food, so fire is a pain, but it is not very common that I burn out. Additionally for repairs, if I am tracked, I usually have a repair kit to repair it. If I am tracked twice in a row, it probably means that I messed up and will be dead shortly. I just really dont view these skills as must haves  in M18. Same case for armorer. Scorpion (which I share a crew), suffers a lot of gun damage, but I can just repair!

Now Im not a madman... My loader is finishing up all his useful perks (camo, SS, AR, and oth BIA) and I'm not picking intuition over repairs (similar with my radio operator), but faced with getting deadeye, eagle eye (or JoaT), and preventative maintenance, I feel like I would rather have those over a repair time or fire for a vehicle that shouldn't be getting tracked.

Am I a madman?

(Also should I look at firefighting or repairs for hellcat if I dont run extinguishers... Planning on getting preventative maintenance)

JoaT is handy since it will help you with a dead gunner or driver, handy thing in a TD who faces the occasional arty splash.

JoaT is indeed nice because it lets you get away with having an injured crew member before you need to use a repair kit.

Id say repairs is far less important now that repair kits can be used more than once, do keep in mind though that repairs helps fix your gun and turret too, not just tracks

I use repairs as a filler when I'm grinding up a perk that's not effective till 100%.  So I'm getting some benefit during the grind, then retrain when it breaks over.

Other than that, Repairs is useful on Heavies, or when everything else is already taken.....

You really want to address the mobility on that tank.  SIA/BIA, clutch braking, and off road driving, prevent maint, camo

I would take camo over repairs on that TD for your other crew members as well.

Recon, 6th, Sit Awareness are also important.

Gunner I have Deadeye, Snap shot, camo of course

Reverse on that tank is like pushing a brick through a straw.  Yes, you can park backwards at an angle, but you'll find out that's not going to be SOP.

Just my suggestion.

Pull a few of them into the tank comparison tool.

A maxed out crew, with gas and food, kind of gets it back to where it once was.  But, not quite.

I mean I'm top 100, not a bozo:P Camo was a 1st skill, BIA was 0th. Only crucial skill I am missing is Recon for my commander (at 90%). Your right though, I should take preventive maintence and deadeye over repairs.

I'm training FF on my FV4000000005 Stage 2, cause I run food and fire burns.

I understand your a very good player. My response was just offer some insight if your new to the Hellcat and how to get around it's Achilles heel.  Which is ground resistance.  You didn't have all your crew skills listed. Some people prioritize repairs over camo.

Had mine for quite a few years.  Just prior to when they nerfed it hard.  Was essentially like a Type 64 with a 90.  Can be a fun TD.  I'm sure your do well in it.

Dead eye and preventive M. both need to be 100% to work as they are perks, until you get to 100% it is useless so take repairs until then, Once you reach 100% you can retrain

You're a back line sniper so not super important.  You get spotted you're dead in two hits by most tanks unless you are top tier.
