To be honest since we have so many broken autoloaders in the game i don't  think it will hurt the game much if they brought back a nerfed version of the Waffle.

Something like this maybe.

---4 shots 440 damage

--- 5 seconds between shots

--- 3 seconds aim time

--- 38 seconds reload.

I would definitely like it back.  I didn't free XP it, I ground it out and it does annoy me that every other tank they seemingly replace, people get to keep and also get the T10 replacement.  I got stuck with the Grille.....and did not keep the Waffle.

Sorry, that the actual data does not match how you feel.

If youre gonna say someone is wrong, make sure they are.  WTF100 had a 5 round magazine @ 490 damage per round.  that gives you an average clip potential of 2450.   Thats enough in 1 clip to take out over half of the tier 10 tanks in the game, excluding some heavies, and enough for every tier 9 and below, and that clip size was the nerfed version.  It originally had 6 rounds..  The tank was broken.  It should stay gone.

my bad.  I was going off current tanks.gg stats.  560 damage proves my point further.

I don't want the WT back but it's hard to argue they took it out because it was OP when you have tanks like the Type 5, Obj 430u, and Super Conq in the game. At the least the WT had a weak spot

It's not. If you have a platoon or more of them then yes. But alone, no. It's a weaker version of the defender...just with an autoloader gun. It can be OP against people who make mistakes (like me:confused:) at times or those who have no clue what that tube thing is sticking out of the top of your turret.

Weaker then a Defender maybe, but far stronger than a regular IS-3. Just because it’s not as OP as the other OP tier 8 Russian heavy doesn’t mean it’s not OP.

There is a difference though.  While i agree that all the tanks you listed are indeed OP to a degree (and some points are debatable, but all three punch above their weight classes - type 5 being the worst offender IMO), none of those three can delete any 1 tank who IS shooting at their weakspots reliably, within seconds of the engagement starting.  The wthcould.  Consistently.

And RNGesus help you if you ran into a platoon of them.

this game is stupid how it makes people grind and spend money for OP tanks, then nerfs them or takes them away, and oh wait, the "new" OP tank to have comes out.

The Waffle should be brought back, they can give it the same dpm /clip as the foch or any other autoloaders that we currently have. or maybe they can give it the progetto, is3A constant reloading thing.

I am not saying anyone is wrong.

The data is doing that, which I am merely referring to.

Its tank curve graph, actual data, does not support your claim. Players were not overperforming in it.

You don’t like that, take it up with the actual data of players using it.

The WoT wiki stats were changed in the fall last year to reflect different gun values, not sure as to why. Thought maybe as a precursor to some kind of return/rebalance but thus far nuffin.

Honestly the tank could be tweaked any number of ways to bring it in line with existing tanks in the games current state, or even as it was. With well over 500 tanks now playable how often do you really think you'll see them after the novelty of a return wears off? I mean yes I liked to play mine but I like to play other tanks too, and it was pretty dang expensive to die in, REALLY bad to die and lose in... Everybody has this tank built up to have been the Boogeyman because of a few youYouT videos, but if you ever drove one you'd remember it was a real challenge to do well in. Today's evolution of WoT is filled with dozens more perils for a Waffle driver, before there were no Type 5's, Sh1tbarns, etc.

...I'll bet the Arty guys would love to see it back. Either way we earned it, and since then everyone else got to keep their retired tanks

It was OP if you were dumb enough to present it your side, but otherwise a full clip would pen like 1 time out 10. You could literally unload into a t1 point blank and 1-2 rounds would find a track or bounce or get swallowed by serb. Plus it had a life expectancy of 1-2 clips. However, that also made it's gameplay absolutely braindead and provided for silly campfests cause no one wanted to take that clip for the team. And yet, as broken as it was, it made for some hilarious plays i.e. 10 of those sob's on each side in cw unloading 30k worth of damage in about 10 secs was pure gold.

Wargaming has always been fickle about this.  Sometimes when they change a top-tier tank they are generous, sometimes they're stingy.

Way back in the day the reorganized the US medium tank line and removed one of the tanks.  If you owned that tank, you got its replacement and equivalent experience.  Around the same time they changed the US TD line, replacing the T34, and if you owned that you got the new tank, the XP, and also a Tier 8 premium T34.   Why didn't the medium tankers get a premium version of the tank they lost?   Apparently Wargaming doesn't even TRY to be consistent.

So the treated the 215B, 4005, and Foch differently from the WT E 100, and there's just no explanation.  In all these cases they could have done what they did with the T34; nerf it and give it back as a Tier 8 premium tank, or even as a Tier 10 reward tank, but NERF IT.   (For the WT I'd have done the latter; keep it at Tier 10 but drop a round from its clip and nerf its gun handling and reload rate to reduce it from "stupidly OP" to "sometimes amusing".)
