Which should I buy while they are on sale for gold? I only have 4015 gold, short 10 for the Panther V/M10 so that's out of the question.

T-34-85M because you can train Russian medium crews with it. There are 4 Russian medium tech branches which means you'd have plenty of reason to be running the 85M every day that you play.  That alone makes it worth spending your gold.  And the T-34-85M is a good tank for Stronghold playing if you are into that.  And if you aren't, this tank is a great reason to be.

T-34/85M is a trainer but also a top performer at T6. Means you will be training crews faster and making more credits while doing it.

The T34-85M may be the best tank in it's tier, premium or otherwise.

I have all three of these tanks.  I like all three.  My advice would be to get the T-34-85M before the other two.  Of these three tanks my T-34-85M gets the most use.  It's my "goto" tank for Tier VI Stronghold skirmishes.  It's a decent credit earner and crew trainer, as well.  It has all five possible crew slots covered for Soviet mediums.

The M56 Scorpion is a unique tank and fun to play.  It's one of my most played Tier VII's.  But it's uniqueness requires particular attention to how you play it.  It's not like most of the other US TD's.  So, you make adjustments.  No real turret, so it's not as effective as a "camp bush" sniper like a T-67 or Hellcat.  It has virtually no armor so it's not a "bruiser" like a T-28 or T-95.  You're constantly repositioning (not a bad thing to do), peeking ridge lines, take a shot and run, etc.  And it's biggest shortcoming (in my opinion) is the 4 man crew (no Radio Operator).  Most higher tier US TD's have 5 man crews.  So, the Scorpion falls a bit short for crew training purposes.  But it is a fun tank.

I don't see much use for the HT VI unless you're going up the Japanese heavy lines.  My HT VI probably has a year's worth of dust on it from sitting in the garage.

T-34-85m...

The M56 Scorpion is great too.... but I wouldn't buy it unless you have the gold for the full "deal" package available through the in-game store.... that includes a 100% crew and equipment. Of course if you have credits to burn (but are short on gold) and a decent crew to drop in this is a non-issue.

For the love of god the M56 is just no for me. That alpha and for some reason the gun never wants to hit for me. Just go with the T-34-85M because you can literally take the role of the heavy tank decently well.

Depends on what tanks and crews you have and what you like to play. Both the Scorp and the 85M are very good tanks if they fit your play style. I have both and had the 85m long before it was buffed and became a good tank, but I play the Scorp more often as I  have a lot of US TDs with few crew trainers and a lot of Russian mediums and a lot of crew trainers. Scorp makes more credits for me also with that gun.

I have all 3 as well.

The T-34-85m is a jack of all trades game carrying beast. It is certainly the strongest tier VI premium and arguably the strongest tier VI tank.

The Japanese Tiger is identical to the Vk3601H proto tiger. Top tier it can hold its own with anything it can’t outright bully but in tier VII/ VIII games it is quickly relegated to a gold spamming support role.

The Scorpion can be fun but it’s a paper TD. It has very limited flex/ carry potential and is at its best chai sniping from the red line.

Hands down,  the T-34-85M is the best choice.
