HT no6 is a Japanese Tiger 131. It's a pretty good tank for its tier, punchy gun but not very mobile.

Skoda T40 is a VK 30.01 P with much worse armor & slightly better mobility. I absolutely love the VK P, but am considering the Skoda solely as a trainer.

Had the VK 45.03 as a rental, great gun handling & the armor gets more bounces than the Tiger I. Low DPM though.

AT15A rental was painfully slow. Gets PMM and bounces lots of shells if you can hide the cupola around a corner.

SU-100Y has hilariously great games and (a larger number of) hilariously bad games. Not much in between.

From the list, I would pick Heavy Nº6 everytime.

I'm really good in the HT No 6 but earned it for free.  Not sure if I'd recommend any of those except if you need a trainer.

Thank you all for your replies. I have checked the stats on a few of these tanks and i have some questions for you all

1. Many people recommended the VK 45.03. Would you still get this tank if you already have a Lowe? As well, only a few people seem to do really well in this tank and the stats for it at tier 7 on NA are not super. Can you tell me why you think it is a good tank? Thank you

2. A lot of people also recommended heavy tank number 6. However, they are about to nurf Japanese heavy tanks HE shells and I imagine that this tank does NOT play like the other Japanese heavy tanks do. Is there a reason that you would recommend this tank over just playing whatever Japanese heavy tank that you like to play? Would you still even bother with the Japanese heavy tank line considering both the nurf directly to them and the nurf to premium ammo in general?

1. Yes id recommend it but only under certain conditions. Its a completely different style of tank. The turret is extremely easy to pen and relies on quick aim time and reload where the Lowe can be a hulldown beast. If you want this style of play I still recommend it but it wont be a better crew trainer and its certainly not an easy tank to play.

2. The tank is good on its own but if you dont want the Japanese trainer then maybe not. Its certainly nothing like the other Japanese tanks.

If you like the "very slow heavily armoured" thing, I agree with RC, the AT15a is pretty good.

If you can stand the ultra slow UK TD line -- the 15a is great for training crews... and totally worth it to get to the Tortoise (w/ top gun!) and Badger -- but if 19kph drives you nuts... don't bother.

HT#6 is basically a tiger at tier 6 -- so pretty sweet -- but only if you intend to do the Japanese HT line.

The 100Y will make you credits if you can just get one shot in... if you get more than that -- you make a fortune... other than that, the KV2 (researchable) is a better tank of similar type.

The rest of those you listed are pretty much researchable clones that sufferer from one deficiency or another -- so unless you want them for training purposes... I'd skip the remainder.

1. Steyr WT

2. VK 45.03

3. SU-100Y

4. KV-122

5. AC 4 Exp.

6. AT 15A

7. FV201 9A45)

8. Skoda T 40

9. HT No 6

Are any of these worth getting?

I guess I didn't really give reasons with my first list so I will try again.

1. Great gun for t7, amazing camo (close to e25), turret is very useful. Bad part is no armor (duh) and kinda slow.

2. Great gun for t7, can sidescrape, mobility and view range are decent. Bad turret armor and low dpm.

3. Big hard hitting gun and somewhat fast in a straight line. Otherwise meh. (though I haven't played it much lately)

4. Seems like an IS that is a little faster with a little worse armor.

5. Great gun. Bit slow except downhill.

6. OP armor and decent gun.

7. Can go hull down. Meh gun (though good dpm) and hull is made of ammo racks.

8. I don't like anything about the gun and its a big paper tank made of ammo racks.

9. Useable armor and pretty good gun. Also decent mobility and good view range.

1. Steyr WT

2. VK 45.03

3. SU-100Y - no, slow as dog dookie, no camo, if you want a big gun get 0-I or KV-2.  If you want prem russian td get su-122-44

4. KV-122

5. AC 4 Exp.

6. AT 15A - good pillbox td if you like that style

7. FV201 9A45)

8. Skoda T 40 -  this one is decent trainer and also okay for some of the medium tank missions, good in its tier but probably outshined by the crommy, t-34-85, and the m4 jumbo as best medium in tier.  It can one shot a lot of light tanks with HE.

9. HT No 6 - no absolute garbage on tracks slow with less armor than a medium tank

Are any of these worth getting?

I got the VK when I already had the Lowe.  The Lowe is BY FAR a better premium for two reasons:  1)It makes more money 2) It is relevant in the 3-5-7 Hell because of the gun and turret armor.  The VK isn't bad, it just doesn't have any scenarios where it is excellent a la the T29 hulldown or an IS trading 1 for 1.  It does have a decent enough gun to not be helpless against +2 tanks.  If you are wanting another trainer for an extra x2 daily, then go for it.  It is not going to surpass the Lowe as a primary earner, though.

Credit earning and crew training.  It absolutely does not play like the other Japanese heavies, but so what?  Japanese heavies take about 2.3 seconds to figure out.  Would you still even bother with the Japanese heavy tank line considering both the nurf directly to them and the nurf to premium ammo in general?  Why not?  They are still stupidly armored and regular HE is all you get through T8 anyway.

SU-100Y for the grins when you connect with that alpha.

HT VI is good enough for even a bad player like me to do decently in it.

I love my KV122 and Skoda T40.
The HT no 6 is also quite nice
FV201 I regret buying.
Luckily it was on sale.

I have the at15a and love it to death. I did really well in that brit line. its about bulling and I love that. the heavy tank 6 is a great tiger and will bounce a lot if angled right. bad thing is u can meet tier8s and in that case you will get focused, I always do. the other tds I don't have. nor that brit med as far as I am concerned its not very good.

Which one is on average better for crew training, Lowe or VK? Assuming so-so skill of the player.

VK 45.03, tier for tier, is a better Tiger II at tier 7.  It's dpm isn't as good at the Tiger 1, but its armor layout is much better.

SU-100Y might be as big as a barn, but that alpha is FANTASTIC at tier 6.

AT-15A is a beast if played correctly, but you need to know how to play British heavy tds well or you won't enjoy this one.

FV201(A45), fun, but I'd only get this if 3/5/7 is changed and/or Frontlines includes a tier 7 at some point.

Skoda T 40 is the only Czech crew trainer and is decently mobile and good alpha at tier 6.

HT No 6 is decent.  It's probably better tier for tier than the Tiger 1 at tier 6.

Good stuff here.

I'll add as I've played some of the others.

Steyr is surprisingly good.

KV-122 top tier is a beast.

AC-4 might the only one on the OPs list I'd avoid.
