Just unlocked the tier VIII td T28, and I know it plays a lot different than previous tanks in the line. Training a new crew that emphasizes Repairs over Camo. Am switching to Large Repair Kit for the bonus to Repair speed since getting  tracked sucked so hard. Not sure what equipment to use.

Rammer seems obvious.

Spall Liner would help against HE spamming Japanese tanks & arty.

Vents & Optics are both always useful.

Tool Box would help further with Repair speed.

Thanks

Remember tool boxes, cammo nets and binoculars are free to apply and remove. Simply leave room for one or more of them. I only own 3 of each as I wouldn't expect to have more than 3 battles going at a time.

As a TD the only recommendation I can make is a cammo net.

Rammer, optics and vents unless you have a crap crew with no repair skill then toolbox might be better.

Ram'er

Binocs

Net

Optics extend your view range to 415m, binocs past 445 limit.  If you don't spot your own targets you share your damage experience with your spotter.  Otherwise it's all yours.

You'll do a lot of standing behind a bush work, so 3s resets are not a problem when you have to turn.  Active scouting is right out, as you're slower than Type-5, just a tad faster than a Maus.

My setup for the td when I had was toolbox/rammer/vents. Sometimes I swaped the toolbox for a GLD(Gun laying drive) to have a slightly better aim time. But other then that if you have a full repair skill for your crew you won't need the toolbox although it always helps getting your tracks back up and running. Also a tip for keeping yourself safe, after firing your gun point your gun upwards to block any shot they have at your cupolas and wiggle the best you can to bounce any shot. Never and I mean NEVER show your side because they can overmatch your roof or side. Good luck and trust me the t95 is worth it although the 155mm is a troll gun sometimes -_-.

This, but binos over optics.

i ran toolbox(bond one) rammer, and binocs.  currently the same on my T95 for consumables I use small repair kit, small first aid, and an autofire extinguisher.   My crew is fully trained in repairs and camo.   I wouldn't worry about camo too much both the t28 and t28 proto are assault td's so you'e going to be seen, but with the setup I currently have repair to tracks takes about 2 seconds.

Being that it's an assault tank binos is kind of worthless.
