There is a huge bug with shards.  I only need 2 more (1 level 4 and 1 level 5).

EVERY time I try to get the level V stocking pendant, it either gives me the train (the pendant to the left of the stocking) or the candy cane (the pendant to the right).  This CAN'T be random!  There are too many other pendants it could "randomly" pick and I have done this far too many times.  I have been trying for weeks and have had far too many shards for this to be random.  This is a bug!!!

I am a programmer by profession and understand programming.  BUG BUG BUG!!!

Either that or some seriously hateful code to always fail.

Either way, you have lost a loyal player.  I will find another game that works to give my money to.

Welcome to WOT. I've sometimes got the same ones 4 and 5 times when "crafting" the dam things...

This is by design to get you to spend money on more boxes in hopes that you either get the ornament or get more shards to try your luck to create more ornaments. It is the one thing that is most definitely rigged in this game.

WG doesn't say a word about the odds. Just because there are 3 possibilities doesn't mean there is an equal chance to get any one.

Also, streaks in random sequences tend to be much larger and more frequent than humans expect them to be.

For my own input to this tinfoil hattery, I have had more success crafting the thing I want when I don't click on the one I want. Instead I will click something nearby and then change the settings to what I do want. Then again I represent a very small and biased sample size, so this could just be what I do to appease the pattern seeking part of my brain.

I have clicked on the needed one several times to get the one I am actually clicking on. Would not surprise me if the "bug" was a programed one.

I've wasted 10,000 to 15000 shards trying to produce specific decorations I need.  Why would anyone be surprised that WG programmed something in an effort to irritate players into spending money on boxes?

I didn't get the same 2 adjacent ones once or twice.  I am talking about 20 times or so.  That's like flipping a coin and getting heads 20 times in a row.  Not even close to reasonable.  They could have had a happy customer who continued to pay for cool stuff.  Instead, they have a customer who honestly feels cheated.  I'm done playing this game!  I'll pay the $50 for a game that works.

I can't believe that we need to tell you that this is no bug...it's to get you spend money....

No it's not!! With a coin flip you know there is a 50/50 chance. WG never says the odds to get a decorations are equally weighted. If there are 2 possible ornaments it could easily be 40/60, 30/70 or even 20/80. Think of it like the McDonald's Monopoly game. Sure you need to collect 3 game pieces to win the prize but 2 of the 3 are common, it's the 3rd, rare piece, that actually wins you the prize.

It's just not worth it.  It has changed from a fun game I loved to play to feeling suckered and repeatedly ripped off.  I've invested way too much time in the fruitless hope of success.  What started as fun no longer is.  Allowing success would have kept a paying customer and not cost them a penny.  This staggering amount of "random" failure has cost them a formerly loyal customer.  I feel burned and am not willing to keep my hand in the fire.
