Does the game have auto aiming in it? I have seen references to it in posts .

If it does where is it and how do you use it ?

Sometimes when I use the right mouse key to move my sight and not move the barrel of the gun - when I release the mouse key the barrel snaps to the spot I am looking at . Is the some kind of auto aiming?

Thank you ,

Yes, WG put it in whereas most other games I've played frown upon it.  Holding down the right mouse allows you to look around without moving your gun and having to re-aim if you go back to that spot, but that has nothing to do with the auto-aim.  I don't use it, so can't tell you how to do so.

Clicking RMB toggles auto-aim on, and off.

Auto-aiming ?, NO! There is an Aim-lock that basically you can tell they gunner to stay locked on the target currently highlighted and in the crosshairs. Click RMB while those conditions are met and "presto"!

When you have highlighted the tank you want to aim at.

I don't have any success with Auto-Aim.   I made my right mouse button shift reticles.  I can't get Auto-Aim to be really helpful.

Aim-lock is very useful when you're in a faster tank and are running around the back of a slow heavy or TD.   You lock on and can then focus on driving.  Then when you hear the reload complete all you gotta do is pull the trigger (click LMB).

It's so easy to shift reticles with the scroll wheel AND zoom in and out, are you sure you're not just adding complexity?   How do you zoom?    Did you try to use Aim-lock to auto aim?   It locks on the center of mass and definitely won't hit most targets that're over the rise or peek-a-booming from cover.

I noticed your hit percentage stat looks like something isn't working very good.
