Just want to know your thoughts.  I feel like they'll be really fun to race around the maps in but seem like a nuisance to the gameplay.

I voted NO because this is another broken promise by WG.

(Personally I'm hoping this is the death knell of arty. That is the only positive spin I can put on this.)

What can wheeled vehicles do that conventional tanks can't?....

They can drive faster than Tanks.

Their Power to weight ratio allows them some pretty awesome opportunities to drive up steeper hills.

Arguably better at active scouting.

Get to forward spotting positions a lot quicker, which is what they'll have to do because of anemic view ranges.

And maybe climb a lot better via jumping onto spots.

Like most other tanks/classes the vast majority will be underplayed and likely under performing because of the players tanking in them.  But for folks that play them right it'll be interesting to see how they fare.

Guessing they'll be a lot of yolonoobs running around in them not accomplishing much, but possibly a quick explosion.

Edit:  Ninja'd by KRZY and good point re: active spotting.  Wondering how they'll handle in high speed turns and maneuvering though.  Thinking they'll have a wider turn and possibly bleed speed more than tracked tanks.  Then there's drift to consider.   That may counter some of their active spotting potential on certain maps.  Thinking center of Prok for example.

If they are released in their current state (which I have no doubt WG would be silly enough to keep) will ruin the game. Strong changes need to be made to them to have then not ruin it.

Just wondering.  Armored Patrol or one of the other third party sites cited WG Fest cited this...

https://thearmoredpatrol.com/2018/12/27/wg-fest-2018-info/

 – Without positive feedback from the players, the french wheeled branch won’t enter the game.

Wondering if that's factual or if so the feedback "window" has passed and they definitely coming?  Granted it's a small sample size, but note the poll numbers.

I'm guessing they're coming just by virtue of how far along they are now in the Common Test.

How they're coming (i.e. will they be changed noticeably from their current guise) is (probably) the real question.

The maps have been designed to prevent a lot of this stuff.

IDK I'm not against this coming into the game but it feels like a class that has already been handicapped.

I vote NO.

WoT wasn't supposed to have wheeled vehicles but times are changing and now it does in limited fashion in game and in testing on the test server.  I think they are a jump the shark moment for this game.

If we had Grand Battle sized maps regularly, I might be more inclined to be accepting of them but on the Highway map on the test server, I went from one cap to threatening the other cap in moments which is way too fast.  Maybe if the wheeled vehicles were at the tier 2 thru tier 4 level so they could compete with T2 Lights, Pz 1Cs, and Luchs, I can see it.

I think they are good, it gives players more options and something new.  If you don't want to play them don't.  The matches I had with them in it they were a non factor and if they do turn out to be OP the game is constantly being tweaked so why the fear?

Now that we have vehicles that can cross the map in 30 seconds, can we now get larger than 1km x 1km maps?????

You're "survey" is flawed.  You should have the "I don't care" option also ;)

Seeing 4-6 of these cockroaches in some Common Test matches. Literally feels like a different game.

Slower heavies and TD's getting hammered by arty within 45 seconds of the start of the match with these WV crossing the map in 30 seconds.

The Tier X WV crewed up with high-octane fuel does over a 100 kph with ease. Shaking my head watching one do a jump at 100+, clears about 50-70 yards, lands badly, tumbles a*s over end about another 50 yards, then lands upright and hauls tail off into the distance. What a joke.

I know I made this post but just wanted to comment that my vote is against them.  This just means more people will be playing arty waiting for these tanks to spot, which I am still waiting on the in-game arties to reduce to 1-2 per side.  We do not need 3 arties in a game per side.

I don't think arty players play arty because of light tanks lighting up things, so I don't see how these will make any change in the number of artillery.

this...right....here....

The current maps other than GB and FL can't support them. the game is too slow paced.

We are going to see these are Unicom/WN8 lover clean up machines more than anything else. Camp bush half the round in the back, race up middle of map and start mopping up campers and SPGs who have absolutely no chance against them.

On maps as small as then ones in WoT? They aren’t better than a proper light tank with more view range and similar camo.

Let’s not be confused as to what these tanks are actually designed to be. They are designed to be YOLOwagons... and as they are they will do nothing better than a normal light tank and they are a terrible idea for the game. They are unneeded in the current game.

pretty sure they get there a lot faster than 30 seconds, more like 5 seconds.
