Hello Tankers and Testers!

 

Update 1.4 common test 2 is now live!

List of Changes:

 

Join the Common Test!

 

  • Download the test client installer (4.9 MB).
  • Make sure you pick a save location that is different to your regular World of Tanks game files.
  • Save and run the installer.
  • Run the new copy of the game. The launcher will download all the additional data.
  • Log in and start playing!

 

How the Common Test Works

 

New to testing? Check out our handy guide to public tests.

 

Eligibility: All players registered prior to 13:59 PT | 15:59 CT | 16:59 ET on Dec. 31, 2018 can participate in the test.

 

Feedback: Please post your general feedback about the test version and bug reports in the special thread on our forum.

 

Server Restarts

 

The test server will be restarted regularly, according to the following schedule:

 

  • First Periphery: 20:00 PT | 22:00 CT | 23:00 ET every day. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
  • Second Periphery: 21:00 PT | 23:00 CT | 00:00 ET every day. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
  • Central Database: 01:00 PT | 03:00 CT | 04:00 ET every day. Average duration will be around 2 minutes.

 

The test server may be subject to unscheduled restarts and maintenance.

Kinda expected considering the devs evident hate towards everything French.

No thanks. The last time I tried the test server it was full of RU players team killing all the NA players.

Personally it wasn't the speed that made them hard to handle, but the turning rate in cruise mode. Tap a or d and you spin in a circle.

gotta love the ru tanks getting to live and still being op a year after they're released but the fast active scout that can't spot gets the only thing that made it good nerfed a week into the test server.

Thanks for buffing the already broken 279 when nobody requested it in less than a year, and thanks again for nerfing the french wheleed vehicles within less than a week just for being french, we really appreciate it WG.

Your reducing its max speed is unhistorical :/

 

Horsepower to weight reduction is fine.. But max speed? no no no... Your taking away the ONLY thing it has it going for it..

Road speed should be cut by at least half when they go off road. Same for the light tanks. It's ridiculous.

So you want to make them dead on arrival like all but 2 of the tier 10 light tanks after you 'fixed' them?

wait did they nerf the new French light tanks already ah man I was looking forward to scooting around and wrecking stuff well I guess I'll stick with my mediums.

Trust me, those things still can run and gun like nothing else even after the speed decrease.

is it 1.4 or 1.5 that will have the updates to the multicore support? or is that "coming soon"

The quirky steering on the tier 10 needs to be addressed.

well I hope so I want to get the tire 6 one and try playing light tanks with it.. I'm  more of a medium tank main I'm not use to light tanks these tanks look great and fun to use. plus they could be beneficial vs the e25 or the amx 13 57 premium tanks.

I just thought of something that would be cool what if they had a small event of easy missions were you get French female crew members for these new tanks.

So i Wonder if you guys brought its speed back up to 105KPH, and nurfed the gun, giving it arty like aim, made it Very Team Depended tank, Focused on Scouting... how this might change the game, also effect the reload so people have time to respond when their arty is getting killed. maybe even the damage per shot down from 390, to 340. I miss the speed. was my favorite part.. didn't care much about the gun. liked the fact you had to pay more focus on the Driving than shooting. Anyone else got any thoughts?

I don't know I have not played them yet but I hope its gun can do some damage and with some good reload speed. because honestly it has some thought competition to go up against the type 64 and e25 and the amx 13 57. to name a few tanks. I'm not sure but I think the Cromwell could also do a lot of damage to the new French tanks.

oh jambijon question when this new update hits will world of tanks make a video showing us how to play these new tanks and maybe give us tips on how to set it up. or show us scouting locations on maps.

The new French light tanks do not fill the active scouting roll (vr is one of the reasons), they are more a get in and out fast assassin role. Expecting them to scout in the sense that traditional scouting lights do is just not going to work with them.
