I took a break from this game for about a year and I come back, now I can't aim worth a damn. Why is the rectical locking on a Freaking Leaf?? I can't manual aim to save my life. Is this a new feature???? WHAT THE HELL???? Every time I zoom in the game locks onto something else. It never did this before. Help please.

Think thats bad, how about snapping to the tips of fence posts so the reticle is going up and down like an ocean wave as you are traversing your turret.
I tell ya: this game looks like its programmed by some kid on a Timex Sinclair.

The 1.0 graphics update had more than enough errors to ensure lifetime employment for the programmers.

I'm envious of you guys.
None of this stuff ever happens to me.
The aiming in my client is normal and steady.
I never get to have any fun.

The last patch in December made some changes to the HUD/interface and broke manual aiming. It also broke manual aiming for SPGs. I noticed it immediately.
After some experimentation, the issue with SPGs is that the game is calculating manual aiming exactly as if you were in overhead ( artillery ) mode. So if you hit a wall or anything with a sudden elevation change, your aim jumps exactly like you were in overhead mode. This is most likely due to the engine seeing tunnels and similar openings as if they are opaque. ( think typical 2.5D video game and how it dealt with openings )
Manual aim seems to also be also using this internal method now as far as I can tell, so it bobbles and jumps on small things in your line of sight when it shouldn't.
NOTE - this only happens when you are zoomed in. If you are fully zoomed out, you can aim like normal, even with a SPG - but trying to do so is laughably hard beyond 200m or so - you are trying to line up pixels at that point.
