After 3 years of playing this game the first map is still one of my favorites.  The hill start was bad when seal clubbers played but the town was the best part of any map in the game!  Most of the urban areas in maps are really just corridors (Erlinburg) or they have massive blocks with wide open centers (Paris, Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg).  MIttengard gave you the security of cover with the constant threat of being flanked.  It really taught players how to pay close attention to the mini map and keep moving.

I also enjoyed Mittengard.  A lovely fast action map that avoided camping behavior.  It provided a nice change of pace from the other maps.

Yes bring it back with no hill starts and allow higher Tiers to play! Tier 10  heavies would be a hoot.

 Mittengard the antonym of  Province

nothing on hills with city in the bottom. vs city on the hills and zilch in the bottom

plenty of fast fight flanking options. vs no fast fight flanking.

one people want to play on. vs one that tempts players to cliff dive just to get it over with

Flatten Mittengard and you'll have a bundle of mini-Ghost Town map sweetness.

Mittens is one of the stupidest, most hated maps ever contrived... and that's why it was removed.

WG... please don't even think about returning that mess.

Yeah, I'd love to see it back.  Fun to jump in a low tier and play it once in a while.  Those low tier battles are crazy.  It's like a whole new game because no one does anything predictable :)

Mittengard should only be used for 15 v 15 Arty battles and nothing more.

Completely agree with this.   Enjoy the mad scramble to the town ruins or getting behind the church.  Got to see several times where a tank gets bumped by a teammate or gets sideways and takes a tumble down a hill.  Even when it happened to me, I would laugh because it was fun and funny.  In saying that, I would keep the hill starts just to keep it zany.

They could bring it back but only as a tier 1 map only. For that purpose it would actually be very appropriate, because tier 1s have no view range and need a small map since the tanks are so slow.
