Yes!  The time has finally come! In the first quarter of 2019, we will be able to once again enjoy and experience a fitter, happier, more productive Frontline than our previous installment.  Before the official launch on the live server, Frontline will be heading to Common Test 3 to test the updated progression system.

Frontline is available during the 1.4 Common Test only for your consideration and for preliminary testing. Testing Frontline now does not imply the mode will launch immediately with Update 1.4. Frontline will be activated separately from it.

Values and various characteristics that are relevant for the Common Test have been changed and do not correspond to those in the final version of the mode!

For the full list of updates and changes, check out our article linked below:

Frontline Returns!

For those who experienced the first iteration of Frontline, you may have seen some performance issues or bugs.  This is one of the reasons for the long absence and of course, the updates, balancing, and features that were added as well.  Another exciting feature we will see in the near future is multi-threading rendering (finally) which will help with your PC's performance when playing WoT.

Here's a great dev video that goes into detail about our multi-threading update:

GLHF!

If the test server would actually be up and running might be of help on testing the "FRONTLINE" game mode OUT!

Good news about Frontline and great news about the new multi-threading rendering.  I bet a lot of laptops will get a nice performance boost.

  •  fitter, happier, more productive Frontline

TRANSLATION :"It was too popular and the unicum tier 10's could not farm damage  while FL was running, so we decided to make it one week a month "

My prediction came part true. They are monetizing it this time around. Hope the credits are not nerfed.

Well, according to the 2019 Announcements from WG Fest, XP and Credit earn rates remain the same in next year's Frontline; repair and shell costs won't change either.

Glad this came back. Time to make 600k a game boiz. Also hopefully they fixed the render thing. Where if you were defending you would lag cuz you would be rendering most of the map depending on the camera angle

How are they monetizing a game mode that will last 10 weeks, and you have to play to earn rewards?

as previous, most likely- it was tested several times , tier 8 is the most diverse tier, and also the money tier of world of tanks, so it was very popular and all teir 8 vs tier 8 you didn't need to shoot gold, even though some did

Thanks Domo. Any idea about game times ? Last years limited availability was a pain for a lot of players.

think they said there would be no curfew in effect while the 7 days of the mode will be active

Achieving each Prestige Level rewards you with additional prizes like Bonds, Gold, badges, and medals.

at least its only +2 prestige per 'season' instead of doing it all at once --- i just tried to figure out the hours needed to catch up if you meased one season and didn't prestige upto the max 10 prestige levels, which overall is 300 levels

I really liked the original version of this mode, hope the changes aren't to big. the biggest change needed is to the players mindset if on defense. if you want max points/rank for a game you need to give up some of the zones as the timer runs low to let the game go longer. then try to hold the enemy off in the final zone till time expires for max points.

more time = more damage = more points/ranks achieved.

will be looking forward to this starting up again.
