Here are the rewards for this event

  • 5 Codes: 3x small repair, 3x small med kit, 3x manual fire
  • 11 Codes: 3x large repair, 3x large medkit, 3x auto fire
  • 18 codes: 1x Garage Slot
  • 27 Codes: 10K XP applied to the vehicle used to play the battle
  • 28 Codes: 50K XP applied to the vehicle used to play the battle + 5x each food consumable

Source https://thedailyboun...t-free-goodies/

He updates the channel daily with information regarding the next contributor who will post the next code.

Since I missed the first two codes that eliminates any XP bonus.

18 codes is the next level, but I don't need any more garage slots (have 32 free).

So I only need 9 more codes (have 2) during the rest of the month to receive the small and large repair kits. Not much of a reward, but it won't take much effort either.

You also get boosters for every code you enter

3x EXP Booster 50% 1 Hour

3x Crew EXP Booster 100% 1 Hour

3x Credit Booster 50% 1 Hour

Well that would certainly make it worthwhile. That would be 78 of each booster, if I got the rest of the 26 codes.

26 codes x 9 boosters each equals 234 total

So far I have received 0 boosters

Is WG going to give them all out on March 1

or are they going to say there was a error?

I cannot find the post from WG that says we get Personal Reserves from the CC Codes

From the announcement on the Main WoT news page:

https://worldoftanks...nger-hunt-0219/

"The February Scavenger Hunt is going to be a little bit different, however.

February is going to be all about our Community Contributors! Every day during the month, one of our CC's will drop a new bonus code on their channel. Each code awards you the same Booster package as shown above, and you can collect up to 28 Bonus Codes during the month. You can also earn extra rewards based on the total number of Scavenger Hunt codes you redeem in February — the more codes you redeem, the more extra prizes you earn."

Tanks for encouraging me to go find it in the article. I was becoming doubtful whether they had said officially that boosters would be part of the February scavenger reward.

The addition of other booty just makes this all that much sweeter. Tanks WG!

Pay out of the Feb Contest will be in March. Seem they went back to the old way where you get your pay out at the end rather then during the contest. I preferred how they ran it in Dec with the daily pay outs.

yea, I don't think WG could have F'd the 2019 booster code coordination up anymore than if they had actually tried to.

Well they could have not done it at all...leaving you with nothing now, in March, or ever.

Do people complain just for the sake of complaining? "OMG I want my FREE stuff NOW!!!"

I think the point is that many companies think through promotions, execute, and there are few hiccups, and perception of the event is good.

WG has a history of mistakes and flawed executions. It creates much more bad PR than if they had done better execution.

Each code being active for 48 hours but not specifying when the code was generated and that for most people, they will have less that 36 hours to enter it after they receive it, bad.

Not having a 2-3 day buffer for the top prizes (which they did for many previous events that required daily participation), bad. It causes people to just give up.

Who is the next contributor? That guy! Wait, no, that other guy! Wait, he didn't get the code! Bad.

Free stuff is great and you can't really complain about that, but there are plenty of reasons to complain about the execution. No good deed goes unpunished.

I think the point is you deserve nothing. Set your entitlement down for a second, and attempt to understand that:

1: This is a GAME. It is a recreational activity, not a job. Nothing that happens here will make or break any player's life in the REAL world. If this game disappeared tomorrow, we would all just move on to the next game. I have done it many times over my lifetime. Not a big deal at all, ever.

2: It is a FREE to PLAY game. This means you pay NOTHING initially, as opposed to most traditional games that cost a minimum of $60 when they come out. There are no subscriptions, no fees, no associated costs. You can TRULY play this for FREE. Having said this, there must be some incentive to get players to spend money on the game, or else there would be no more employees to keep the game up to date and available for play. Again, I have seen this happen to many great games. Eventually, the servers shut down, and everyone moves on.

3: Anything WG does to give players "more free stuff" is optional. We can agree the primary incentive to give us more "free stuff" is to maintain interest. This keeps the player base happy, gives incentive to new players, and keeps the money flowing. But this "free stuff" is optional, and they owe you NOTHING. So whining and crying about the delivery of means of obtaining your "free stuff" is irrational, and frankly, a prime example of the feeling of entitlement that is becoming the norm in this time.

To summarize, you deserve NOTHING. So be glad when you get something with little or no actual effort :|

Well. Moridin, I think you're half-right.

You're absolutely correct that this is a free-to-play game and WG owes us nothing.  However, if they wish to offer promotions and incentives to keep the free-to-play players interested, I think they have a responsibility (or at least an interest) in keeping said promotions simple and straightforward.  And, quite frankly, they're making a mess of this one.  It's convoluted and even WG can't keep it straight, what with all the delays and switched days and contributors.  And while they OWE us nothing, they DO need us to flesh out the player pool for the pay-to-win crowd.

Fire when ready.

It is a scavenger hunt. It is not supposed to be handed to you.

Remember Easter egg hunts when you were a kid? The smartest and fastest got the eggs. The rest did not.

Life is not fair, and you are owed nothing. If you cannot bother to take the time to figure something out, then you get exactly what you are owed: NOTHING.

In this case WG and individuals have gone out of their way to give you the answers, and it is still not good enough for you.

You clearly show a lack of understanding of sales and marketing principles.

One of the primary reasons they do events like this is to get players to engage and continue playing the game. If they blow the execution, they blow the engagement, and they are more likely to disappoint players.

Some people would leave the game or become totally disinterested without challenges being presented to them. If the player feels they cannot be successful in the challenge because the host company got it wrong, they have more incentive to leave the game. That is not something any player should want, particularly with our small population.

You, unfortunately, keep focusing on the prizes and playing for the sake of playing rather than the motivation to participate in the game.
