Howdy Boom Jockies!

As some of you are aware from my last Post about closing Refer a Friend 1.0 from November. This was postponed to help with some players to finish their grind to get to tier X before the closing. I understand that not everyone was able to complete this and still have questions about compensation. Sadly, I don't have any updates on compensation for players that weren't able to complete it within 3 months. With that being said be sure to check out the new Refer a Friend 2.0 that was announced officially today. I personally think it's more dynamic then the last one and allows for greater rewards. What do you think of the Changes?

Any questions or feedback on this is more than welcome.

HEREis the link to the updated Article for refer a friend.

There is some mixed messages going on again where the teaser said that the recruit and the commander can complete the missions solo without needing to platoon then now it says it requires platoons so which is which?

I refuse to encourage friends to be subjected to this company and their silliness.

This is discriminatory against those of us who have no friends.

Pretty sure that x-mas invite a friend promo killed any chances that anyone from my group would touch this........

- Go through the motions......get screwed......

- Deal with customer service....... a real thrill dealing with people who drool alot and enjoy rocking back and forth.

- and a follow up pm from Cabbagepatchkid pretending to be concerned but apparently lost interest after we gave em the requested names of the players who got nothing.

Sorry....wrong us once and its shame on you......wrong us twice and its shame on us.

Yes

Supposedly it's going to drop at the same time as 1.4.

You can complete missions solo. Platooning is not required.

Seems that the recruit can do solo missions, commander cannot. Anyone else interpret the info that way?

I have questions...

  1.  Can a person who is a recruit also recruit someone? Or is it like the last time, where once someone is a recruit they can never be a commander?
  2. If someone logs in but does not play a battle, will that reset their 60-day count toward being inactive? For instance, let's say I have a friend who hasn't played a battle in 6 months, but they logged in to look  at their garage last week. Will I be able to recruit them?
  3. If I have two recruits, will they get bonuses for playing together, or do each of them only get bonuses for playing with the commander?

Thanks!

@KRZYBooP - The question I posted in the prior thread:

Quote

I referred a friend about two weeks ago under the 1.0 Referral setup. Will our referred friends get orphaned when 2.0 kicks in or will they be grandfathered into the 2.0 system?

My specific problem is that my friend has 177 battles fought so far. It is possible that he will eclipse 200 battles fought tonight. WoT ver 1.4 is going to roll out at some point in the future. My recruit is not going to go dark for 60 days to wait for eligibility to kick in again. Under your new Referral 2.0 system, what happens to recruits like this? Do they get cast aside like unwanted trash? Do they get automatically grandfathered in to the 2.0 system (unlikely given the new interface and the restriction to 2 recruits at a time)?

Simply telling my friend to torpedo his account (delete it and all of his progress to date) and start a new account is not very likely to happen, especially since he would miss out on the accrued scavenger hunt progress.

Or just tell him to not play more than 200 battles before the progam starts?

To my understanding at this time.

1. Yes you can become a commander after you reach 1000 battles even if you were a recruit.

2. The Video stats "not played a battle" so if they log on to look and don't play then they should be fine.

3. Commander only gets a bonus. They will still get the normal platoon bonus though.

Recruits can do solo missions but commanders don't have Solo missions.

I don't have that information at this time sadly.

Commanders can have two recruits. Can recruits have multiple commanders?

So what I'm getting out of all of this for the existing people with recruits is that the update is there is no update.

Do they at least have a timeline on when they will have this information that they probably should have had already???

You had it months ago when WG announced the first referral program was ending.
