Train blown over by the wind

The following story is about a train derailment caused by severe weather near me.  The wind must have been pretty strong.

I live in New Jersey, winds were pretty strong here too. Today, on the train that I use to commute every day, was actually the only day I felt the train tip to the side slightly, at the time I also just assumed it to be the wind. I had a window cracked slightly open at home, and apparently it was enough to pretty forcefully open and close a door on the other side of a room, scaring my dog.

Almost normal these days though had it happened in Europe it probably would have been international news, at least there was no sand to go with that wind.

They can be a mess.

 

Here's a dashcam clip from a couple weeks ago in Saskatchewan, rail car was riding the inside of the rails and when it hit the level crossing it went wild....
