Just remember, at any one time, I'd conservatively say that 1 in 5 players have a smouldering bong within arms reach, have itchy watery eyes, and an intense craving for CoolRanch Doritos....

Fun Fact. This observation serves in pretty much any aspect of life's daily interactions, and allows me to move on with my day slowly shaking my head.

I can attest that this observation has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the outcomes in matches.

Beavis and Buttheads are out there and from personal observation and personal experience, the addition of a bong (or other cannabis induction device) has no overall net effect on these people as a whole.  Beavis and Butthead are still going to be Beavis and Butthead, stoned or not.

...and sometimes, there's an odd sense of humor at play, typically following a deep seated graine of sarcasm and irony.

I agree.  I think what you posted was funny.  Wrong, but funny.

It happens a lot, get used to it. If you are mad, send him some greeting messages after the battle and move on. That's how I do it.

It’s so wrong, but feels so right! There’s a song there, I bloody well know it.

I don't care how close the battle is, if I know I can't take advantage of the remaining enemy tanks (damage or destroy) then I'm going to cap almost every time (within reason of course).
