I don't play most of my tier 8 premiums in pubs anymore, so it's great to dust them off for solo play outside of strongholds. Made about 280k credits in the first game this season (without credit reserves!), and got the General of the Army medal.

 

*Framerate is up... couldnt play this mode on my laptop last season.

*Fun and relaxing... dont have to worry about wn8 like in pubs or tryhard calling like in strongholds.

*Havent tried combat reserves yet, just found out about them and they look neat.

 

So in terms of consumables, Im thinking...

-Heavy tanks - inspire buff for gun handling, dpm, and nearby allies

-Medium tanks - engineering for cap bonus and resupply

-Tank destroyers - recon and smoke

-Light tanks - smoke, bombers and artillery strike

 

Thoughts?

My thought(s) after playing a few rounds is....
1. STA-2 useless
2. Fun as hell, but also crazy as hell especially with like 5 field guys shouting orders.
3. Don't enjoy really playing any tank in this mode other than a medium(so far), but I have been on defense 4/5 times

4. Kind of feel like the recon flights aren't all that great.

5.  Like calling in artillery strikes.

Lol. First game they start issuing orders and arguing, then swearing and then more swearing and arguing. Then blaming, then bragging. Jeez just shut up and drive General Patton. With 30 people listening they go mad with power.

Good job WG with the framerates. Plays way more smoothly than last year.

Disappointed that wargaming is now charging for rental tanks in Frontline. Kind of a b*llsh*t move really. Good thing I have a couple T-8 tanks to run. Kind of wanted to alternate between more tanks with a rental or two. Not going to pay wargaming to rent a tank. Other then that, frontlines is great. Nice and smooth running.

If you want to level to prestige quick get engineering and just go for the cap it's the best way to get xp to rank up

It's not hard to get to tier 8 and to rent a tier 8 prem it's like $2.00 not even

Last year I found smoke to not be that helpful for light tanks. Engineering was pretty useful, along with artillery strike and bombers.

Made almost 4 million already tonight. Glad to have an easy and fun way to refill the coffers after clan wars.

Yep. Running my premium lights exclusively and have two strikes and engineering and am rolling in xp and ranks. The m41 clones, the 432 and surprisingly the even 90 are standouts. I really like the even 90 since it has fabulous camo and you can use it to sneak around the fight unseen till you get to a nice spot to unload your three shots and some strikes then melt away to do it again.

probably those dudes happen that they played frontlines the first time and they already know what it takes to win a round..

personally i yell out an order every start of each round when we are attacking.. "DONT WASTE THE TIME, RUSH THE CHECK POINTS" and after that telling them how idiots they are not to have done so, when the battle going south..

 

would be smart to listen those "orders"

sweet! and thats why i play frontlines too.. the event pays crazy amounts of credits.. and i have a tier X arty and 12 tier IXs top moded waiting to be purchased..

 

i made 2.5M myself in my first day, but thats only because i didnt play too many battles.. i may had 12-15 frontline rounds, with credit boosters activated..

you wouldnt expect that they would just send a bunch tier VIII prems in your garage so that you have more options to the event, would you?
