Arty should not be in frontline

I am getting pissed of of constantly getting hit by arty in front line when there is no way to kill them. they are always in the red zone were you can not go to kill them so now they can shoot you and never worry about being killed in return. to me this is game breaking and killing all fun this mode brings in

I wonder if you were actually hit by arty or hit by the skill learned by all players that utilizes arty? You do realize no one has to play arty...it's a skill that is learnable...

There are only 3 arty per team 1 each sector.  

You are being hit by the Artillery Strike ability.  

Just move every now and then and the arty will miss you.

Sadly only 1 SPG per sector. Or 3 total for the max per team.  Last two battles started off with 1 SPG per team.  I have played Frontline all day, arty is hardly a worry.  As for me, I play primarily tanks in Frontline with a tiny sprinkling of arty just for the fun of it.

Yes I do know the difference the icon from the skill art gives that away and one big hit as apposed to multiple hits is another tell

But do you know the difference between air strike and arty strike when it's an order versus an actual artillery player?

I found SPG's to be almost useless in Frontline but I hated the damn arty/airstrike abilities you get on almost any tank, it actually does what all the whiners cry about with SPG's.

...and I'm usually Captain at a minimum in arty.

Arty strike tier 5 is all I care about.  Love bringing the pain to those rock huggers.  And just as a bonus you get my tier 5 airstrike right after!

You are right we are here before....and we will be again and again and again....because arty is pure BS and everyone but the arty fanbois knows it.  It is an all reward and zero risk thing to play....there is no chance....really none to counter them in this mode.

 

Just another thing very broken about the game and all the while WG sits in its tax haven in the Med and wonders why its player base is drying up......they are just milking this cow till it dies.

Really?  I played arty only one time (out of 9 or so games) and found it very effective.  My highest damage game in FL mode to date I think.  We were defending, and as long as I fell back to stay out of view range, then I could keep doing work.  Ran out of shells, resupplied, and nearly ran out again.

 

I think arty is great for FL.  The limit of 1/sector, 3/team makes it not much of an inconvenience to play against.  The cap stall/reset rules limit arty's impact on the cap game so it's not OP for defending.  

 

Overall, I think the mode rules balance well and make arty both effective, but also in check.

News flash scooter - Everything dies...  if you realize that going in, you might not be so negative during the ride.  Until the game does die (btw - 2017 wants their "the game is dying" mantra back), ENJOY it, or stop playing for your own sanity's sake???  

 

OR - do you just enjoy whining for the sake of friggin' whining?  If so - continue to cry about a class of vehicle in an online pixel game that has been here since you started....

SPGs are okay in Frontlines and do nothing to kill any of the entertainment Frontlines brings.  I say this as a player who was killed 3 times by SPGs yesterday, two of which I brought on myself by staying in a location for too long while being spotted.  One was getting caught in a funneled section of a map, so kudos to the SPG players on all 3 counts for good plays.

 

Perhaps the OP lacks the temperment for Frontlines where there all sorts of angles and positions one can be killed by which adds to the fun IMO.

I agree with you.  The OP's mantra seems to be general hatred for arty with no desire to do anything vice vent about it.  Maybe that keeps his dog from being kicked - hope it does.

 

If OP were to read the forums with a smile... he'd see that  _Tsavo_ has already dropped the dime on how to nullify and panic the eff out of arty in the new wheeled turds...  :honoring:

Just use your own cancer strike or air cancer strike on the cancers.   Thats the only reason i even have that.

For over 9 years we have put forward things that would make arty better, all fallen on deaf ears....and that is ok....their game, just don't wonder why the player base is drying up.

Bring the complain to WG, there'r the one putting mission for spgs in the game. Remove the mission and most players won't play them. And by the way if you indicate the direction where the shot came from, you ally arty may hit them back by countering it.....and also spgs were nerfed I wile ago. Most arty then were able to 1 shot or drop your hp 80 to 90% in any tier almost.
