nice job.  I've been resting my eyes so not playing that much.  that being said I hit level 13 in basically a couple hours worth of playing yesterday (just shy of half of one prestige)

I hit major every time but twice?  didn't pay much attention to win/losses, and I'm playing for fun and enjoying the larger map rather than even worrying about trying to get general.  flitting about experimenting in the elc even 90 as an example.

You reach tier 30, you are Prestige 1. You start back up to the tiers, you get to tier 30 again ... and you have achieved Prestige 2. You can get to Prestige 3 this week if you have no life. That is 90 tiers.  :)

Details on Prestige points below:

This is incorrect. There are 10 prestige levels, but there are 27 total points. So, starting with level 2, you are awarded 2 points per level. Starting with level 7, you are awarded 3 per level and so on. Prestige level 10 will award 6 Prestige points.

You don't have to get to level 3 in a week. Just get to Prestige 1 and maybe a little extra for some buffer. You can get the Tier 9 tank by only getting to Prestige 8 over the course of the year, so that means you can take 2 months off this year and still get the tank. (Getting to Prestige level 10 (27 points) will allow you to get 2 tanks.)

Agreed. This is a ridiculous grind if you are in it ONLY for the tier 9. But some of us view it in the context of the additional benefits below:

Low stress: win/lose, who cares, no stats are affected, just do some damage and try to have fun. It is a game after all.

Always single tier games mean you can be competitive every game. Just a fresh take on the game.

Credits: with boosters applied, the rewards are quite stunning (300K net game pretty easy). (Without boosters, it is pretty average, granted).

Lots of other goodies, boosters, consumables, bonds, etc.

Ability to grind XP on stock tanks without having to face tier X's and without worrying about how crappy I do ... any damage I can get with a crap stock gun will earn me XP that I can use to unlock better stuff for game when I need to fight tier 9's and 10's in random battles.

Nicely explained, thank you.  I like FL, but it kills my frame rate a bit but still soldier on

You are right, I misunderstood the explanation of the prestige level. Now, it is easier than I thought :D

I repeat for those that are still not realizing this.

WG changed the way the tiers scale up form last year big time. whereas in last years FL getting to tier 13 was about 35% of the way there. Now its more like 15% of the way there.

Last years total tier points neccesary was just over 18k this year its 30.5k so you better really enjoy the mode.

Yep.Tier 21 (15,700) is just over half way there. You have to get another 14,300 points to reach Tier 30.

A long grind and this is only week 1 of 10...

yes but its not that hard to do it anyway..

an average player with some decent knowledge on how to run this event, could make it to prestige in 40-50 battles..

in a week time, this is not hard at all to succeed..

and you dont even have to become general so often as OP did..

i played so far about 40-42 rounds i believe, and i am currently tier 28, having finished as a general only twice and regulary achieving the rank of major or captain..

i may reach prestige II before the first week is over..

Does it get longer at the higher prestige levels or does prestige 10 take the same xp as prestige 1?

i would say it takes the same amount of xp required to reach prestige 10 as to reach prestige 1..

its the same 30 tiers that paying you one prestige level every time you complete them..

I went back and counted matches; after I read this thread on the 13th.

@ 20 with 41 matches

Now @ 23 with 51 matches; looks like I am now advancing 1 for each 5 matches played. This morning before heading to work it only took 1 1/2 hour to get in 5 matches.

If I do not concentrate on winning; I achieve higher ranks and faster advancement.. go figure.

Ostrich, you need 1800, 1800, 1900 to complete 28, 39, 30

Last year, the points needed were 706, 707, 708 for those last three levels.

The info above is from Reddit.com.

I’d attach a screen shot of the reddit chart but I’m not at my computer.

I made Prestige Level 1 just now, and thought I'd share some numbers...

I hit this rank after 35 matches. In those matches, I managed "General of the Army" status 11 times. This means I'm reaching the top position in nearly 1/3 of my matches. I don't know how many were simply "General", but probably a few more. Still, it took me 35 matches to get this first Prestige, which means it could easily take 350 matches in total for me to reach Prestige X. I can only imagine what an "average" player must be going through.

x.

Now do it another 320 ish times before the first week of FL is over and tell us what the Tier 9 reward is!

Once you reach level 30 will it automatically go to prestige one and continue to the next level?

Thanks! I started tracking the points per level and did manage to get prestige 1 by the end of the week. It took 42 games, I made general probably 7-8 times and General of the Army 1 or 2 times. Those last few levels dragged a bit.

No. When you hit level 30, there is a button that appears on the screen that says something like 'Increase Prestige" which increments the prestige counter and sets all of your reserve tokens back to 1 (you start on level 1).

I presume if you do not do this, you could keep playing with all the reserve tokens applied to the various reserves, but there is little point in doing this as there are so many benefits to tiering up again (creds, consumables etc).

" I can only imagine what an "average" player must be going through."

No, you can't.

I haven't played much since FL 1 and my skills deteriorate faster (and stay rusty longer...) than they once did. The first several hours were brutal. Then, I started to gradually warm up and by Tuesday I felt that I was getting back in the swing of things. Just when I figured that all was well, my game took an inexplicable nose dive and I struggled the rest of the weak. I finished on a positive note (Prestige 1 + level 10) but my poor play coupled with the new "whole map" strategy of dogpiling the A-line and abandoning everything (and everyone...) else has left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure there are those who fared worse than myself but for me, it was a bit of an ordeal.

35 games to Prestige 1?  That's something that I can't imagine...
