too many cheaters this time around, people shooting thru buildings and rocks. soo much lag and game lockups!! I am not the only one, every match at least 20 people crash out and we lose big time. you restart/reboot game/computer and try to get back int game, it wont let you so you start another game and you lose all the tanks that are stuck in other game. every game is a losing match. sure go ahead and say I don't know how to play, I try my best to win but you got 10 tanks shooting at you and no body helps. so I say f this mode till next month.

Since you reduced the number of combat reserves on light tanks from 3 to 1; it would be nice if we could change our selection during respawn or during the initial count down and not restriction this to only light tanks. Being on defense the needs may be different than when on offense.

The Frontline Mode started off with great promise and was enjoyable.

However, it soon grew Stale, and then slipped into Noxious.

A.  As usual, people found, shared, and memorized Special Places that offered unreasonable sniping opportunities.  If one does not memorize these, one is at a severe disadvantage.  Is this a tank battle or a chess match ?

B. As not usual because of the different map size and mode rules, but still STALE:  People discovered that zone C was very easy to defend and very difficult to attack.  Thus, anyone forced to deploy into Zone C on the Attack was frustrated and demoralized.

The usual Perverse Incentive found in Random Battles, where Damage Caused is the single greatest criterion of a Player Score, became magnified and mulitplied in Frontline.

A small handful or Cadre of cynical, self-serving players began to twist the game play to maximize their own damage scores at everyone else's expense.

This is particularly true and noxious on the Defense side of the battle.  These players began the perverse practice of giving away defensive zones, deliberately, in order to increase the playing time, in order to allow them to do more damage.  Even (or especially) at the cost of losing the match.  A system that rewards the deliberate loss of a match is... Noxious.

A brief review of Frontline battle results in which the Defense lost would show you with full force the truth of this.  Over and over, in a Defense Loss, you would find three or four players with rank of Major or above, each with 8,000 points or more of Damage caused, and then a long, miserable list of the hapless victims or "chumps" of this sleazy play, each with less than 2,000 points of damage caused.

Perverse Incentives, Noxious Result.

A further change that led to the mode becoming Noxious was the introduction of Wheeled Vehicles.  These things, on Frontline, wreak absolute havoc and create complete imbalance.  A similar review of what happens when one side in Frontline has more Wheeled Vehicles than the other will demonstrate this concluseively.  And a review of player scores will also show a near complete correlation between the top three damage causing players and the use of Wheeled Vehicles.

Simple Solutions:  Easy to implement, dramatic improvement in effect:

1.  Greatly increase the benefit of a WIN to ALL the players that showed ANY activity in the match.  And publicize this clearly.

2.  Change the Scoring System to greatly increase the score of those that RESET a capture point (Which is already very difficult), and to increase somewhat the score of those that CAPTURE a capture point.

3.  Limit the  Wheeled Vehicles to the same limit as the Artillery.  One each for the three battle regions.

The length of the event is the only thing I'm questioning. It feels to me that August should have seen the end of the event. Pushing it out without more variety of maps just starts being a job.

frontline is terrible.  why don't you take some time away from producing the multitude of overpowered premium tanks available at tier 8 and play a game or two.  oh wait, you'd have to pull your head out of your [edited]

I agree there needs to be an incentive for capture and for winning.
