I never played this when rentals were being given out so I have to ask those that did play it before, "How significant are these changes?"

Looks like a Nerf. Reminds me of the Tier Ten light tank nerfening.

Wonder how much it's uphill torque will be effected by the hp reduction.  That would be my only concern with what they did.  The gun was fine the way it was. Slight improvement with that.  I presume the turning radius is improved by those numbers.  I would still give it strong consideration if it's a line your enjoying so far.  In comparison to the tech tree wheeled, I enjoyed the rental the most.  The two round clip/mag, coupled with a super fast reload made the car.

Well, the one that jumps out to me is the horsepower of my rental was not the before of 800 or the after of 525 - it was 500.

Another is the mode switch time looks like a second faster. Hard to compare some stats due to variables such as crew skill, equipment, and food - I don't have a screen shot of the bare vehicle from December.

Looks like some minor tweaking since the rental.

mild improvement to camo.  decent improvement to dpm.

imho it's a massive nerf to the acceleration, on top of losing the boost/instant acceleration mode.  on open maps it won't be an issue.  it's now inline with the tech tree and others in terms of hp/ton but will mostly be felt on the majority of congested crappy maps.  https://tanks.gg/com...32~m-41-90-mm

the max steering angle increase should mean that it can turn even tighter than before, which may be how they're going to try to address the map congestion - but it will also lead to gnashing of teeth for those that fall victim to it circle strafing...

it's painfully obvious that wargaming wants these things to always be moving, but the maps simply aren't conducive to that play style.  More than likely, I'll still pick it up if I can get it down to about $20 or less.  remains to be seen, I have a busy weekend coming up, and then another week trip out to SoCal.

imo, dont spend any money on the tank. Ever since they removed boost mode, the wheeled tanks are subpar scouts.

I'd rather it keep the 85 top and reverse speeds, personally.  The engine power and power to weight means this things isn't going to be blisteringly fast on uphill launches.  It still has the 2 shot autoloader which I will absolutely love.

Basically it'll be slightly less sports car than before, but gets a little bit extra combat capability in return.  I thought it was perfectly balanced from before and only needed the boost-from-a-start feature removed.

I agree with 100% on the balance aspect Tsavo.  Once again,  fix it till it's broken.

Weren't these numbers already in a while ago? NA CC's still had the tank up to a day before 1.4. ASIA CC's never lost the tank.

Pretty sure these where the numbers after they did the "rental code" test and it isn't new numbers. The only change from the last time it was played was the loss of boost. I watched Napalmer play it in Frontline and it never had the boost there (Asia CC's kept the tank while they only get rentals of other premiums) but everything else hasn't changed.

and... Yup. Jan 9th https://ritastatusre...r-f-10-changes/

on the contrary, I felt the boost from start feature was one area that helped survival rate on some of the most wretchedly, cancerously congested, and tiny maps where always moving isn't realistic.

I realize that most of the streamers and CC folks and even testers only used it at the start of a match, or when trying to mt goat... but it certainly had other uses imho that weren't explored well enough given the average size and congestion of most of the maps, and the very brief testing allowed.

Boosts or otherwise, I'd say the point was never to be scouts at all. The point is to deliberately counter tanks with bad armor by hitting them with the unusually good HE shells. When using AP, the EBR 75's base DPM is about 1.9k and that jumps all the way to 2.8k if you can consistently pen the HE. The HE pen is 75mm, so that's the limiting factor. That's enough to punish certain tanks, but not others. The whole shtick is to hunt down the ones you can't pen, and avoid the ones you can't.
