Camping is defined as: Camping is when light, medium and heavy tanks do majority of their damage at over 300 meters.

Camping is also defined as: Camping is when light, medium and heavy tanks stay close to the spawn doing a majority of their damage at over 300 meters.

WARGAMING REWARDS: CAMPING STYLE PLAY WHICH IS LIGHT MEDIUMS AND HEAVIES HIDING 300 TO 800 METERS FROM THE MAIN BATTLE USING THE PLAYER IN THE MAIN BATTLE AS FODDER.

CAMPERS AND FAKE UNICUM0S ARE EASY TO IDENTIFY.

1. CHECK SERVICE RECORD

2. STATISTICS

3. INFO GRAPHICS

4. CHECK FOR NUMBER OF GAMES PLAYED IN ARTU AND TD. FAKE UNICUMS HAVE ALOT OF TD AND ARTY GAMES.

5. CHECK AWARDS DUELIST AND CLOSE QUARTER AWARDS WILL ALSO GIVE CLUES TO HOW THEY PLAY.

BOTTOM LINE NUMBEROF WAYS TO SPOT CAMPERS. I USE MY BLACK LIST TO RECORD CAMPERS ONLY SO I KNOW WHO THEY ARE IN SKIRMISH. MAKES THE CALL EASIER.

Why are you camping in a Launcher Discussion forum?

i'm leaning towards MATCHMAKING , 4 tier eights 3 tie7s and eight tier6 tanks  ,so yeah maybe a 6 heavy  medium or even a light may camp , it's balanced remember ,so thy will camp too , it's balanced so don't worry about it .

Here I am trying to see how many others in the game have noticed the crazy amount of camping, and I would like to gather data and opinions on it.

I should also add, Some tanks(Like td's and arties) have their roles to be behind the head tanks, but when lights, Mediums, and Heavies sit behind the front lines, something should be done to change that.

Do you realize that you created this post in the Wargaming Game Center (WGC) Beta  WGC Launcher General Discussion forum?  Just wondering.

Sorry that this is located in the WGC forums

There used to be something that changed that until they ruined them? IT IS CALLED ARTY WITH GOOD ACCURACY/DAMAGE/RELOAD TIMES. Then yesterday is see they want to even ruin them some more.

Every one hates arty, but they are ok with td's that do 700 dmg and in 9 sec another 700 dmg. Heavy's throwing in another 500 dmg per 10 sec. No one  seems to care about that but they hate arty that might get 300 dmg (that is if they actually hit the target) and 43 sec reload times. Hey I would rather get hit with 300 dmg every 40 sec vs 700 every 9 seconds any day. LOL

No it's not it's caused by the knowledge that you will be zeroe'd in 2 seconds by a spotting light and the 6 tanks waiting to shoot the spotted vehicle. Getting hit for 200 hp and stunned for 14 secs doesn't bother me being killed in a matter of seconds does.

Did that dude actually say camping is caused by arty. Some of that might be true since they made arty a non factor in the game and now with the new buffs irrelevant. Camping is not caused by arty it is the driver of that tank!

Heavy tanks are the worst campers. In fact most camp every match. Just look for cities and warehouses on the map and you have found the Heavy tank campground.

Camping has become bad? What? How long have you been playing WOT? In my seven years on WOT camping is not as much of an issue now as the wheelies are! The first year of WOT I played it was simply a campfest of EVERYONE sniping. Arty being tuned up fixed that and now with arty being nerfed again you will see more and more campers. Welcome the problems created with all these fixes WG introduces. Bring back the old arty of crappy dispersion but, being able to one shot people and APCR, you will see less camping!

I wonder if part of the problem is the role that a tank needs to play when it is fighting opponents 2 tiers up.  I play in a couple of tier sixes and when I’m playing tier 8s I consider myself a light tank and do scouting.

If I’m only playing up to tier 7 then I try to play more like a traditional medium (flank and help the heavies from the sides).

If on the odd occasion I’m in tier 6 and it’s the top tier, then I play as a heavy and usually go where the brawling is.

I don’t know if my style choices are correct, but its how I deal with tanks 2 tiers up that I can’t even dent with gold ammo.  Camping may be another way to deal with the same issue.

It would be interesting to hear the views of some of the unicums out there regarding the same tank in different roles depending what tiers you are facing.
