I have worked my up through the ranks and it was hard enough to deal with the Lowes, now there is the Type 59.  They are like cockroaches swarming the field.  It makes me wonder why I have spent so much time working my up.  I think the type 59 has swung the balance of the game. Why work hard when you can just buy a bad ass medium tank.  I'm fine with there being gold tanks, but they should be limited in their capacity.  They should not be as bad ass as they are.  I hate to sound like i whining, but it sucks and I feel cheated.

LOL.

You do realise that the Type 59 is just the poor man's T-54 or a T-44.5?

I can't wait until you get up a bit higher and then start crying about the T-54 if you think the Type 59 is bad.

Poor man? What poor man spends ~30$ on a virtual tank?

You don't know what I am talking about so I'll make it clearer for you.

When somebody calls something the "poor man's " it means it is an inferior version to the original.

Therefore in this case the Type 59 is not as good as the T-54.

It has nothing to do with spending any money on it but all to do with it's performance.

still have to know how to use it. Just having it means nothing unless you had experience.  Now granted sometimes the beginners luck factor kick's in and what can ya say.  You can stick me in a formula one racer that dont mean I will win the race.

lol, I know, just yankin your chain. Still, can't really compare it to a 54 since T9 meds are a much bigger leap. But a poor man's T44? I'm starting to think the 59 is easily on par.

Thats why I called the Type 59 a T-44.5.

I think that the T59 has changed the game--for the worse.

I am routinely matched up against them in my Tiger, and in my last battle against one, I lost.  I hit him 3 times (2 x AP, 1 x HE) and did no damage.  He killed me in 4 shots.

They should be placed higher in the matches, and you never see just one of them.  There are always three, and they are on the other team.

The Type 59 basically what the T-54 SHOULD BE if Wargaming didn't cherry pick the stats. The Type 59 is just a T-54A clone in real life anyway.

my T29 does that to the Type 59 - 4 shots and he's dead. Most of my 7-10 tier tanks eat them for lunch.

It has completely ruined the game for me.

I was just in a match where there were 4 on the other team--guess who won.  Of course, we had none on our team.

They should be a Tier 9 tank.  I cannot kill them in the Panther, Tiger I, or Pershing when I am one on one with them.

I really don't understand why they get more generous matchmaking than normal T8 mediums. They're at least equally capable.

I have an IS, and I can assure you I'm not eating these things for lunch... They're very fast and strong with a good gun. When I hit them with my AP I cause 31% (from the side) damage. Then I have like a 12-14 second wait where they just open up n me as I try and pull back, but with their speed it rarely works unless their driver suckes. That means I have to hit these things 4 times and wait anywhere taking anywhere from 44 seconds to 56 seconds. I don't know the mechanics on their guns, but I know they reload much faster than mine. So usually I lose a dead to head fight with my Tier 7 against the T59. I must agree, I hate those tanks mostly out of jealousy. I have a much much easier time killing a lowe. The guy who made the thread is right also, you almost never see these things in matches solo. It's almost always 3-5 and they run in packs. Very difficult to beat them when they do that imo.

I find those extremely easy to fight against, almost as if they had no armor.

Also, their low profile means you easily hit their roof's:Smile_honoring:

You must be an exceptional T29 driver. Or, more probably, you're running into Type 59 players who don't have a lot of experience with mediums. Anyone who stands toe to toe with a heavy in a Type 59 deserves what he gets. No one gets 4 straight shots at a medium when properly played.

My personal experience is that T29s are not much of a challenge for a Type 59 if there's room to maneuver. T29s are just too slow and squishy.

7 second base reload, compared to 7,5 for the T-44, 7,14 for the Pershing.

They are better than the Panther II and the Pershing. In the field, they appear to be the best T8 Med. Which kinda sucks for the owners of the other T8 meds. They need to implement a trade in program for premium tanks, because I bet that nearly every KV-5 and Lowe driver would ditch thier rides in a heartbeat for the Type 59. It is a beast, and it rakes in the creds.

/fixed.

Granted it has an awesome credit multiplyer but as a straight up tank its not as good as the t-44 as its just way too slow.

I don't quite know about that first statement. I'd take my Pershing over the Type 59. The Pershing is more mobile and seems to pack a bigger punch with the top 90mm.

I actually solo'd both a Lowe and a KV5 in separate matches in my Type 59, but I much prefer meds to heavies anyway. I do have a buddy that has a Lowe that would probably trade it if he could.
