The new consumables like vent purge or steady hand

Can wg do a video and explain how these new consumables work like vent purge steady hand and so on. It really does not explain how and if you can get them to work.

So like if I highlight to use the increased focus does it work if my crew members do not have it trained or does the commander at least have to have started training it. 

I don't want to use these new consumables unless I know if I am using them correctly, I don't want to waste them.

The new consumables are called "Directives", and have their own slot in the loadout which is found to the right of the other consumables. Selecting the Directives slot brings up a separate interface, where specific information on each Directive can be found by mousing over them.

 

Equipment-boosting Directives work only if the corresponding equipment is mounted, and crew-boosting Directives either give the effect of the fully trained skill (if said skill is not fully trained) or increase the effect of the skill (if the skill is already fully trained).

They do not work. They made some kind of error in coding. They prolly will explain it once they fix it

Most of them work. A few only work sometimes.

I mostly use the Natural Cover one, and it works fine on my lights....

Thanks for the answer because i tried using the  6th scene like perk and it did nothing.

Thanks for the explanation i tried using the 6th sense perk and it did nothing. So if i'm understanding you correctly even if my commander does not have 6th sense set up lets say i have repairs on him and then i use that perk i will have 6th sense for my commander ? I just wanted to make sure before i used anymore of them like i did not at least have to have the perk started on my commander for it to work
