Nice idea, but essentially would be a map redo.  Not sure if they can copy and paste terrain with their editor or not.

I'm almost certain they can, programming is all about reusing code. There's identical buildings with holes in them on different maps so I don't think duplicating larger areas like terrain would be too hard.

They could "easily" nip out some mountain chunks from Mountain Pass to counter the EBR spotting.  That would be a good start.

The maps aren't coded per say.  It's someone using an editor/interface to create the elevations and various terrain types, buildings, props, etc., It's not as easy as just inputting a scalar value in to increase the size of the map.  The duplicate objects your referring to, are typically stored in a library/database.

You mean make the maps even more COD like by removing even more of any play that resembles actual though and planning?   Great idea.   Why don't they make it easy, and just all be flat nothing?
