I want to join a clan in order to get better and have more people to interact with on the game.  But when I went to one of the clans website to join they asked for my password.  I was told never to give that out not even to someone from WGing themselves.  Do they all require that step?

Never there would be no reason for a Clan to need your password.  I would think hard about reporting that to WG.

Cheers

No clan should ever need your password or any other personal information, are you sure it wasn't just the clan website that reqiured you to log in IE here

If they asked you for your WG password I would report them to the Mods. If you have doubts always listen to yourself.

Some clans break the rules by using other players tanks when they are absent.

I do not do much with my clan but its a good group of guys, they do require that a new prospect platoon with them to see if everyone get along.  If your interested I will start the introductions.

Cheers

No Clan should ask for your account password. They may require you to create an account on their Clan website.

You can check out HHOUR & D-DAY.

Its quite possible they wanted a password for their website, I'm not to up to date on the computer but they asked for my email and password and the thing below said forgot password so I assumed it was for my WG password.

If you went to a clans personal website, then it was just asking for a password to log into the website. Not your personal login info for the game. I have a feeling you're just trying to be a troll though.

The above link is where I assume you went to go find a clan. And if from that link you clicked "submit clan application" (or whatever its called), sometimes WGing will log you out of the portal and ask you to log back in. The same thing happens sometimes when you try to use the Premium Shop or post a comment in the Forums here.

I'm sure we could all give you an exact answer if you provide a screenshot.

First, you did the correct thing and came here asking advice before putting your info out there where you weren't sure.  That's a good habit to have.

2nd) no clan should ever ask for your wg account password and, as others stated, if that's the case you should report them and then drop all contact with them.  My personal feeling is that WG crap interface logged you out when you clicked the clan page and then asked you to log back in...but this could easily be wrong.

post some screen shots and we could give better info.

Think about how many times it takes you to enter a normal passoword. x3 and you are blocked.

Yet on that 3rd time with a game account, you gain access to your alleged account.

STOP after the 2nd attempt!!!
