Hmm, i think someone said that you can see it on the the battle results window, around middle left i think? (and also click on it)

First, let me start by stating that I just found how to actually display the "Reward for Merit" screen without having to actually play a game. For those that don't already know, it's under the "Gift" section of the "Notification Center" (like with the XMas Female crews).

Now, as for determining how far along you are to unlocking the next reward(from what I can tell so far), you have to look at that giant lock in the middle of "Reward for Merit" screen. The more it cracks, the closer you are to the reward. I haven't been able to find any indicator, like the levels in FrontLines, other than that. And, I haven't been able to figure out what requirements constitute "merit".....it just seems so....random.

There is no probability indicator per se, the drops are random.  There is a progress indicator - of sorts.

It's on battle results.  It's a padlock and it's progress is indicated by it being shattered/broken.  So you don't get an exact "count".

And underneath the padlock are five packages/gifts that light up as you progress.  That shows where you're at towards the fifth reward which is a better reward.  After the fifth one it resets.

Edit:  And what previous poster said.  It shows the lock progress as well as the five count.

about the same as you penning a 4 HP tank in an obvious armor overmatch situation to win a match I'd figure with this company

The only "merit" requirement is that you don't do any team damage as that will impede your progress.

The only way to get more of a chance to "win" more blueprint pieces is to play MORE pub battles in tier 5 or higher tanks.

It SEEMS random because it IS random.

Play long enough and you'll probably get one.

Well Random it is... games 2,9, 24, and 28 -- various results... some ok... some horrendously bad, and others near the top of the team... the only indicator is when that Lock is cracking you will get something in a couple games at most.

Looks like that way.  I had a really good streak of ace tanker, 1st class games not getting the reward, but then a pretty bad game net me one...  And that amount of games took to get that reward was no different from the number of the games to get the previous reward.

Sure the sample size is too small at the present, but I think that given that the number of games took to get the reward was not conceivably impacted by good games, the probability for getting the reward probably only considered the # of games not getting the reward, rather than the actual merit.  If it is truly merit based, super unicums would quickly run out of things to do.  Yet, these guys are often paying customers as well.

As people have pointed out, it is all random. The state of the 'lock' can be frustrating because you can grind it down to where it is displayed as almost broken and think that you're going to pop one "soon" but unless you get that random roll (which is increased somewhat by how much the lock is broken) you may very well play quite a few games. I played about ten games once with the lock displaying at its worst state before it popped. Then again, some times you can get a pop on a totally fine lock or one that is just slightly damaged. All random.

So, with that in mind my observation so far has been that many players are spamming games and not really doing well or anything at all because after each game you get a roll-chance right... My guess is this system should/will be tweaked soon[tm].

To be honest, I don't see any change in progress.  I have had a number of decent battles in the top five, and I see the reference in the battle results, but I don't see any rewards, and the lock is still on the second box.  It never moves.  Either I don't understand what I am looking for, or as far as I'm concerned the thing doesn't work and is just another one of those things wargaming puts in with little info and poorly done.

The word out of RU of guys who've been tracking is that it drops at roughly 15 to 20 games played and it doesn't matter how well you play or if you win or lose.  Just have to play games.

The progress is the size of the cracks in the lock icon.

I’ve been sitting on “max crack” for the last 8-10 games.

The lock indicator is 100% useless

Random probability indication is often tricky to interpret.
